Not a lot happening in my world that anyone would be interested in, for sure.

Trip to Williams Sonoma, Starbucks and the grocery store after work yesterday with a stop at son's house to drop off a Father's Day gift to him...he's a good daddy...

Work is ... well.... work.  Always glad to be employed but the cir****tances of my employment are troubling....at least I'm not on the front end of it. 

Going to be 100 here this weekend.  Friends in the Carolina's were telling me this week that they were experiencing 107.

I guess Eileen is on her way to a new life in a new state.  Is that exciting or what???  I wish her Godspeed and a safe trip. 

Dunno if KarenC's gotten to see Briley yet... I'm sure any day that little girl will make her appearance.

Last I spoke with Louise, she's gardening and enjoying retirement... sigh... GOOD FOR HER!!

Sorry I don't check in as much as I probably should.  Life just gets in the way.  Lots of new people!!

What a nice way to start my day, seeing your smiling face here! 

I'm hoping Eileen contacts me around Monday on her way through to LA. It would be great to see her.

We are missing quite a few folks here. I miss seeing Maui Karen, too. And Brenda? Gee, our group is getting smaller by the day, but I am also happy to see new faces here. It's the "old" friends I miss. Hope everything is going well for them.

Yes. HOT.  I'm sick of summer already and it's not even officially summer yet. Dangerous heat advisory posted for the weekend. The son of one of our clients died from heat stroke last week. Such a shame, only 45 yrs old. A harsh reminder that we need to be careful out there!

Good morning Janet and fellow OFF family...Happy Friday to all!

Today will be a busy day at work, something extra nice is happening to me this morning. Someone nominated me for service excellence so I get to go and be recognized with other fellow employees who also have been nominated. It's an honor for sure! (now if I could only get a raise! LOL)

This will be a busy weekend, we are having our recognition thank you breakfast for our volunteers here at the hospital I work at. Then after that I will go pick up my 2 grandchildren and get them out of mom and dad's hair because they are fixing up the house that they close on today. Hopefully it won't rain and I will take them to the lake.

I'm taking the back roads this weekend. They are having the B 93 Birthday Bash at Martin Speedway this year. I will be able to hear the singing from my stepdaughter's new house! I do love country music, just not all the crowds...and I don't need to get sunburned. People do enjoy the Birthday Bash though. Concert is free both Sat and Sun if you get a ticket but parking is 15.00 and you have to buy food there...so it's really not free.

Hi Janet and all my OFF friends,
Glad it's Friday.  After we had two power outages on Weds. night we still couldn't get our cable to work.  I had bought an HDMI cable so we could show pictures from the laptop on our HDTV.  Well we hooked that up instead and it worked!  Even better than before.
Sunday our scouts have a Father's Day breakfast so I'm taking Hubby out for breakfast.  Son lives in another state so he won't be able to do it.  The weekend will be spent cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning.  At least it's a good feeling for a little while until Hubby messes it up.
Going shopping in my basement and garage for a piece of furniture to paint for the back screened in porch.  I don't know if it will be a bureau or a buffet but I need something to put all the gardening stuff in.  Also I know we have a toy chest somewhere that I can paint to put all the outdoor games in - bocce ball, bats, balls, badminton rackets, etc. I'm trying to prepare for the grandsons visit in July.
Weather here is supposed to be gorgeous through Weds. of next week.  I hope no one was affected by all the tornadoes yesterday.

Good mornin', ya'll.

Yesterday it was brutally hot out there.  DH had a podiatrist appt, then we went to lunch, then to Wally World for a 'few' groceries.  As we were unloading $300 worth of grroceries into the trunk at 3 PM we were wondering WHY!! Of course our daughter and kids will be here next week, so we 'needed' everything we got.  We could have waited and gone at a time when it was cooler though.  Then by the time you get home the ice cream is soft and you have to schlepp all that stuff into the house and put it away.

Today is DH's eye appt.  Then to a Father's Day lunch with our DIL and the boys.  This weekend is gonna be crazy for them, so we are doing this early.  Today though NO trip to WM, so we can just run from one building to the car and then another building.  Not so hot that way.

OK, I gotta hit the gym for at least a little time on the treadmill.  Yesterday's trip there got cancelled when my Sissy called.  She is bi-polar and obviously in her manic state.  She went on and on and on.  If I had wanted to comment on something I couldn't have gotten a word in anyways. I love her dearly, and I realize that now that Momma is gone I am the only one she can call and talk for an hour.  Everyone else works.

It might warm up here finally. This dreary cold weather is a bummer.

After swim class, Marcy, Bonnie and I went out to eat. My X was there with his GF. It doesn't bother me to see him except it still brings back nasty memories. Time to get over that, I know.

Today is a perfect weather day, not too hot and low humidity, however, that is going to change over the next 24 hours, so I will enjoy it as I can. . .

I am at work and have lots to do, but wanted to say a quick hello, as the day probably won't allow much more time here, since I have summer hours (8 to 3:30), after work it will be shopping for a bbq I am hosting tomorrow for a couple of old co-workers and their significant others, so it will be shopping getting the yard ready, prepping food and then will just have to see if I have energy left for anything else. . .  I must admit that I'm kind of tired the last couple of days and my joints ache, not a familiar feeling, oh well, I'll just push past it and do what needs doing. . .

As always, I wish each and everyone of you a good day and peace and strength to get through whatever life challenges are presented.

 I think if you were born in a different time you would be "Maureen" to John Wayne! Love that beautiful lady and what chemistry they had.

Still waiting for Briley to "Dit out of Mommy's tummy!" in the impatient words of Hannah and Clara. We are so excited to see what you looks like. With the hospital visit this week and Erin feeling much better she won't go to the doctor again until Monday which is her pre op visit. One week from Monday at the latest.

Josh finished school yesterday so I think I'll get out and hit some yard sales this morning and give them a break from me. Nothing much else, same ole same ole.

well so far today its cool yet but the heat is on the way....just dreading the thought of how hot its gonna be in the food court today and this weekend!!! YUCK!!!! big sign posted near time clock yesterday that we will be having the BIG boss along with visitors next week and we are to make sure we abide ALL the rules for the club...which means i can't have ANY water in food court for me to drink when needed....hahaha watch me!!!!!! if its gonna be HOT i WILL have my water at the ready for me when i NEED it!!!!!!!!! i will be working all long hours next week and they say it will be hot and muggy so i WILL have my water handy to grab!!!!! i will also have my script from my dr in my pocket to show if needed for me to have my water at all times.

i am also wondering about maui karen...a few days ago on maui they had to evacuate some people due to a fire i believe and hope she is ok!!!!

karen c thanks for letting me know why the reason for the c section instead of normal birth on your daughter...guess i forgot about that...hope she has baby soon so she can get comfortable again!!!

well great CRS just hit me again so i forget who posted...grrrrr i hate when this happens!!! is it me or what??? sighs

thinking of making another afghan again. this one will be for ricks daughter. she loves pink, purple and black. sooooooo guess what colors this one will be....lol now we hope she will not be going to jail so she will be able to use it this winter. it will be a birthday/Christmas gift for her. we will know the outcome on july 1st if she goes or not.

well best get going here need to shower and get ready for work. have to pick up my check and go to bank and ca**** because i work til 9 tonight then all day tomorrow so can't make it to bank til monday then. so have a great day everyone and remember to DRINK YOUR WATER AND THEN SOME!!!!
