Thankful Thursday!
Hope that you slept well and that things wherever you are go well today!
Courtesy of the Roxie girl, I am up and on here early this morning, seems she felt I needed to wake up early today, barked me awake at 5:35, so I'm having my first cup of coffee and reading email and thought I would start the thread this morning.
Last night went to my support group, which I have not been to in awhile, it meets at 7 on the 3rd Wednesday of every month and I have to drive up from Wilmington, through the Philadelphia rush hour traffic to get there, so it has not been doable, however, I need the support and so I made up my mind to pack something for dinner and went, glad I did, was great to see some of my friends who don't make it to the 1st Saturday support group. Also, helps to reinvigorate me.
Today is just another workday, with tonight being my AA homegroup meeting and that about covers me for today.
Again, I wish you all the peace and strength necessary to get through whatever life brings to your day.
Hugs, Laureen
My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Yesterday I had my review at work. The best one I have had in my almost 11 years here. But my numbers were the best I have ever had. I felt real good about my work this year. Only 7 more years to go.
One more work night til the weekend. I stopped working either job on Friday nights. So it is Mary time for me. This week we are going car shopping Friday afternoon. Yippee. We don't need a new car, just want one. I am giving the dealer a number I am looking at and I will not go over. I told Mary if it goes 1 penny over, I am out of there. Then we will go watch Eddie play baseball. I work Saturday morning, then sometime Saturday we might take in a movie.
Gotta get ready to go. later.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Good Morning Laureen and friends to follow,
Wide awake at 4am here on the west coast. Baby Briley watch is getting interesting to say the least. Tuesday Erin felt kind of rotten all day. Contractions, back pain, upset stomach. Got sick to her stomach twice; couldn't keep even water down. When she called her doctor they told her to come in to the hospital in Olympia, about a 45 minute drive. So we loaded up and ended up spending 8 hours there with her hooked to a monitor.
For a while it sounded like Briley might be arriving earlier than her scheduled June 28th delivery. However, 4 units of IV fluids, anti nausea meds and two rounds of "stuff" to stop her contractions and she was sent home. I had called Josh and he arrived just as they moved her to a regular room.
I headed home to relieve the other grandma who was with the twins. About an hour later Josh called to say they were releasing her as the meds had worked. No other signs of real labor so doctor's said it was probably the severe dehydration. She's felt as good as usual since. She has an appt with her doctor tomorrow morning. Kind of hoping the delivery is moved up a week, but it's anyone's guess.
That's about it from this end. Twins are doing fine. They kiss Mommy's tummy and say, "Dit out of Mommy's tummy, Briley!" I found cute little matching t shirts for all 3 at the Carter's outlet. Had a $10.00 coupon so all 3 just cost me $4.00!
Laureen, I had one of those breast exam scares years ago. Had to be reexamined every 6 months for a couple of years. Not much you can do but what you're told and hope for the best.
I have an August appt for my exam and physical. Still need to take off about 4 lbs to be at the "number" I was for last year's physical. My doctor and I made a "deal" and I need to get my behind in gear literally in order to keep it.
Which means here away from my gym daily walking. For some reason the day just gets away from me. I have been trying to get all 3 dogs out for a daily walk. Bess is big and fast and walks me. The two little ones I take separately and it's more of a "stop, sniff, look" kind of stroll! Then I need to fit one more in just for me. Hard to do some days!
Need to try to get a bit more sleep. Have a great Thursday everyone.
Nothing else to report. So happy to hear of Connie's Nic's good report. May he have a wonderful summer. Eileen's new adventure is kicking into high gear. Thinking of you all spead around the US and north of our border too.

Work was so crazy yesterday with our inventory sale. Glad that is over with.
Today is suppose to be hot and muggy, will try to walk earlier today or later this evening.
Nothing new to report except my SD and SIL are closing on their new house tomorrow.
Yipppppppeeeee....I will finally have my house back, babysit grandchildren and be able to give them back! LOL
I will not have empty nest syndrome that is for sure...well we just have too many animals for that anywho...my animals are my babies too! Hugs Debbie
It's a beautiful morning on the eve of another heat wave. Right now I'm pretty comfortable and humming the Rascals' "It's A Beautiful Morning".
Laureen, I hear you on needing a support group but having a long drive. It kinda sux especially because we're tight on $ for the gas and have no $ to eat out. :P Still, I need to go.
So today I wanted to kick back and totally relax but it looks like I'll have to go out running for awhile and it's kind of annoying! I don't want to but I need to. :P
Ted's supposed to take it easy for 2 weeks but, of course, he's not listening. He just went out on a 40 minute drive to pick up free wood (from Free Cycle).
Have a great day, all!

I just tried the doctor's office and no answer. They get there at 7 AM, but they all must be late. I'll try again in a few minutes.
We'll take the camper over to the lake tonight. My DH just told me that I won't be able to get in and out of the camper with my foot like this. I'll manage. I'm sure they'll put a boot or brace on it regardless if it has a fracture.
Have a nice day.
