Rowing, sailing, and just paddling along. What's on your plate?

Morining one and all!

Another busy day at the salon and eating is probably out of the question....lol!  Of course, I'll do my best, but it might not be pretty.

Here's a  recipe for you. The shrimp coleslaw sounds really good and easy, but PLEASE beware of the amount of seseme oil it calls for!  It's potent stuff and I personally think 2 tbs is waaaaay too much. I'd start with 2 tsp, if that.

Yesterday's menu:

mini quiche/ mini bagel
cottage cheese w/ pineapple
chicken, strawberry, spinach salad
chili verde/bean burrito
applesauce w/ LF granola

a couple of lattes, protein coffee, lots of water too.

Hope you all have a marvy day!

ok with that for now.

eating out more and shhhhhh drinking a bit with friends, is proving to be a new challenge
for me.  im working hard on balancing everything out and have really been trying to take
in more fluids the last week or so.  i was feeling dehydrated, at least in my mind.

so far today, just coffee and a protein drink

Keeping balance is what it's all about. Please be careful with the alcohol. It can be tricky!

Glad to see you back, take care

Just another day at work.  But today is payday so I guess I'll go in. LOL  Our church is hosting a luncheon today for the business women in town.  I may not go because I have several errands to run during my lunch hour today and not sure I can get it all done.  I wouldn't be able to eat much anyway.  But we'll see.

We're preparing to go camping this weekend so I'm making my menu and lists.

Have a great day

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Good Morning

I read this thread every day, and thank you Susan for taking the time to start it.

I'm less busy than I have been the past few months.  Finally.  Not sure how happy I am about being this close to the fridge so much, but I've been making sure there's lots of healthy stuff just a few steps away.  My fluid intake has increased, which is good, and it no longer consists of primarily coffee.  I'm battling the grazing demons, and the jury's out as to who's winning at this point.  I'm going to have to plan better, instead of just grabbing what's closest.  I've always been a planner, but never about food.

New stage of my life=changes need to be made.

Everyone have a good day.

I'm sure that retirement is full of adjustments and, after all, you worked all your life, so the adjustments aren't going to come in a short time. Since I'll probably never retire, I suppose I don't think about these things too much, but I'm sure you'll figure it out. Grazing is a big problem for me in the evenings. I try to justify it by saying I didn't get enough calories in during the day, but  if I'm only 100 cals short, a 200 cal snack isn't the best choice.

Maybe being a food planner can be your new hobby?

Hugs to you Sistah
