Hi Carla and the rest of the gang.
Just got back from my morning cardio....I've been doing more running (really it's "wogging" walk 1 min jog 1 min) and I'm enjoying the workout. I've never sweat so much in my life!!!
I ran (wogged) my first 5k race last week in NY. Here's a picture of my before the race.... I came in 26th out of 81 in 45.7 mins. Not too bad for an old broad...
Today is the first day of summer session (I enrolled in another course at NY University Stonybrook). Since I was about 10 I've always liked the first day of school....LOL!!
I've got to go and fix some breakfast....needs some carbs after my run. I'll be back.

Ruth.......you are amazing....congrats on the race!!
I was getting ready for my first race last summer when I fell and broke my hip.....haven't been able to walk well in a year. Hope when this surgery is healed I will be able to get back on track and get in a race yet!!! That is my goal!!!

Good morning Carla and everyone....
Carla...so sorry to hear about Pitt...it is hard to lose a pet. Tevia must feel so lost...poor little one.
Nothing new her. Monday is a busy work day for me so I best get back to it.
No news yet this morning on the results of Nic's test. Still praying for no new cancer!! I am a nervous wreck with worry!

Was thinking of you as I was running this morning. How are you feet doing....I think it was your feet or foot giving you trouble. Hope all is healed and you are back to walking.

Hi Carla and my OFF family:
Carla, sorry I missed your call ... I was at my goodbye party. It was a small gathering of some very good friends ... the best ones, the ones *****ally mattered. I was sad more didn't make it, but then happy the ones who did come ... we had a good time ... there was a lot of laughter. Mary Kay's new little dog was so good ... Sadie is really bonded to Mary Kay already and follows her every move. She didn't bark or bother anyone for food. She is so well behaved. We all told Mary Kay this .... I think she is starting to realize it, too.
I have to get back to packing and pitching today ... have to run to the bank and deposit a couple of checks, go to Petsmart and bring back the cat carrier I bought (won't be needing that now). Later today, I have to take Nettie back to Jeanine ... that's going to be difficult ... plus have to take some stuff to Jeanine for her shelter's garage sale. It's going to be a tough day.
Anyway, have a good day. The sun is finally breaking through the haze and clouds.
