Joints hurt after RNY surgery???!!

Hi everyone. I'm hoping some of you can explain this....
I had RNY surgery on May 24th.  I have lost 20 lbs.  Until a few days ago I was feeling great.  But the last few days I have been feeling sharp twinges of pain in my knees and hips.  My joints feel a little loose or disjointed.  Today I could not walk without limping due to pain in my knees.  Did anyone else have this problem and could it be related to weight loss or the surgery itself or not enough protein???
Thank you!

Don't know ... my back and knees felt bad anyway before surgery and my back hurt a lot in the hospital after surgery, so that was no different. Could be lack of protein; I've often wondered about that myself about my knees if that's why my knee replacement has never healed properly ... but then I also have fibromyalgia, and there are studies that say fibromyalgics don't have good success with joint replacements.

Hi Kathy...I felt the same way at first. Your body is just adjusting to the weight loss. As you lose more weight you will be sitting, walking and standing differently. Our hips, legs and back is all effected. It does get easier. Give it time.....you will be running before long!!
