Hi everyone!
I'm back home in Florida.
It was a FANTASTIC trip, I had a wonderful time with family and friends.
The flight to NY was harder than the return but bottom line I am so happy and proud that I did it.  And the best part, I believe I can do it again and am already planning my next trip and my next and my next.....

Some of my friends, some former co-workers and even a couple of family members did not recognize me at all.  The reaction from everyone to seeing the small me were priceless.  I wish I had a camera crew with it, it would have been great to re-watch.

My closest friends and family could not believe the pictures of me flying the little plane.  That experience sure helped me with overcoming my paralyzing fear.
Thanks to everyone hear *****commended the hypnotherapy.  That was what I needed.  That definitely took the panic out of me.  I'm a believer!

I think at this point I wouldn't say I love it, I don't HATE it and I'm not paralyzed by it.  I'm looking forward to my next flight and feel like I've gained an enormous amount of freedom.....I can go anywhere I want to go now.  WAHOO!!!

I've got to catch up on all the messages I missed over the past 6 days.....I'll do that this afternoon.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts, good wishes, swinging chickens, prayers, and support & encouragement.  You guys really, really helped me and for that I thank you!!!!!

Yay for you!!!!!!!
Facing our fears is not an easy thing to do, but, boy, is it ever rewarding (and freeing)!
Congratulations on flying both ways and on being so successful in your weight loss.  You are truly an inspiration.

Welcome Home Ruth! (both for real and here on OFF) So glad to hear that you didn't have to walka home. J/K! I am so proud of you. Heading out to the gym to watch a movie and work out on the eliptical. The new gym has a Cardio Theatre. Yesterday was "chick flick" day with Dirty Dancing running all day. Loving it!

Ruth,

I am so glad it was a positive experience for you.  It does open up a lot of possibilities when planning your vacations!

I can imagine people were surprised at how you look.  You've lost so much weight!   You should be very proud.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Way to go Ruth!!  Facing your fears is tough to do but you did it and you prevailed.

I had the breast reduction yesterday.  Am feeling sore but other than that ok.  No neck pain this morning though.  Have to go to the doctor to get the wrap off and the new bra on and they are sending the tissue to pathology (standard I guess) and he'll tell me how much it weighed today.  I know I feel lighter.
