Hi Everyone,

I'll start this and hopefully get back when I get to work, which I am getting ready for as soon as I get off here, after work I have an appointment for an oil change and then going to an AA group anniversary with my roomie. . .

Gotta run, get dressed, walk the Roxie girl and then leave for work. . .

Wishing you peace and strength to get through whatever life brings your way today!

Hugs, Laureen

Good Morning Laureen and those to come,

Sounds like you have a busy day!

Trying to wake up this morning.  Have to take my sister to the foot doctors this today.  When I come home I plan to work in the yard, hopefully.

Nothing really new here.  My husband came home last night and said they want to go to Florida in July.  They have  a condo in FT. Meyers.  They want us to come with them.  It would be nice to get away, haven't done that in years.

I know Florida is really hot and muggy then, but I will risk it just to go someplace this year.

Oh well... another day, another tribulation!

Peace

Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Good morning everyone.  We arrived back home from Illinois yesterday evening.  We were exhausted.  Uncle Bob's funeral was very nice.  It was a military funeral as he was a bronze star veteran.  Somehow, that makes it so much sadder when they do the 21 gun salute and play taps.

We did have a nice visit with my parents and brother/sil.

While we were gone, they had a lot of torretial rain here.  Our baseball field was completely under water when the river went above flood stages.  The water had subsided before we got home, but storming again this morning.

Off to work in a little while.  Everyone have a nice day.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Good morning Laureen & all. We went to my grandaughters dance recital this weekend. Annette, you are so right, the girls are so cute! Avery, my girl is 6, & such a little ham. My Dh just loved it as there were girls that are going to compete countrywide & are very good.

Today more dog grooming. We do our own as the groomers we have tried don't do what we ask. I give the baths & DH does the haircuts & nail trimming. It may not be the best, but the dogs are happy.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hi Nan,

You have an Avery too?  Wow, such an odd name and now I hear of another one. . .  the first thing I thought of when they said the name, were labels and then when they said the full name, Avery Grace, it sounded really beautiful. . .  maybe it's the name, because my Avery is a ham too, though no recitals yet, she is only 3. . .

Enjoy.

Morning Sunshine!

Busy, busy day today. I woke up at 3:30, so why am I rushing around like a chicken with my head cut off??

First I'm going to go vote. Politics here in AR is very interesting with underhanded nastiness at every turn. People know of all the skeletons in the closets and aren't afraid to rattle them around when election time comes. Pretty entertaining, actually, if it weren't so darned sad.

Then......I'm going for a plastics consult!!!  Never thought I'd get any body work done, but frankly, I'm sick of wearing my "supportive undergarments"!  Especially since it's getting so muggy with the summer heat. So, I'll let you know what's what when I get home late tonight.

Work is going crazy, thank heaven!!!  I'll be late tonight and tomorrow with all sorts of fun stuff to do and great people to visit with. I love what I do!

Hope everyone has a dandy day. Gotta run to the polls!

Good mornin' ya'll.

Yesterday I did something so distasteful to me that I normally avoid it at all costs.  I went shopping and even tried on clothes and shoes!! My daughter and DIL both say I need a dress for this summer.  My 45th class reunion has a banquet at the Country Club - dress.  We are burying my Momma's ashes - dress. I will be the grandmother of the groom in August - dress. Also no Birkenstocks or tennies for those occassions.  So I had to buy shoes, too. I got 3 pairs of capris (I'm told they are back this summer) with 3 blouses that can be mixed and matched, and a very nice long dress. And 2 pairs of sandals with a little heel. Many of the reunion events don't require a dress, but I will need something more than jean shorts and a t-shirt.The salesperson guided me through.  When I picked up a dress I thought was nice, she sort of made a face and said sure. I put it back and stopped making my own suggestions.  My DIL approved of it all yesterday.  My daughter will be here in 2 weeks to give her opinion. I REALLY have no business picking out my own clothes, or deciding on paint or furnishings for my house, or hanging pictures.  I KNOW I am no good at it, so I depend on experts. I would never try to rewire my house or do a major plumbing repair.

I hope everyone is having a nice sunny day and your spirits are lifted.

Have a fantabulous day.

Morning everyone....
It's nice and cool here this morning, but threat of more storms late this afternoon.....farmers are having a terrible time getting their crops in.....soon it will be too late to plant.

Have my one piano student this morning.....I actually retired from teaching but my once-a-month cleaning lady offered me a deal I couldn't refuse ..... for two lessons per month, she cleans my house for free.....can't beat that.  She's fun to teach -- adults usually are!

Have laundry (towels) going and after the piano lesson I will bake up a batch of oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies for a funeral luncheon tomorrow.   Our former pastor died from cancer over the weekend and it's going to be a big funeral.

One of my support group members brought a lady friend to our meeting last night and she told us the horror story of her tummy tuck.
Of course we all realize this is the exception, not the rule, but she's mighty lucky to be alive and has fiberglass mesh in pretty much her whole abdomen.  She has a wonderful outlook and is slowly losing the rest of her weight by diet and exercise.   Once again, only five people came to the meeting - it's so discouraging not to have more folks.  It really doesn't pay to use the hospital's room -- we could meet here at my home much easier.

Hope everyone is doing well.....I don't post much on here, but do read everyday.   Irishcoda, I got four of the books you mentioned, and am happy so far with them.

Connie seems to be improving from her surgery, so glad to hear that.
May you have a blessed day and all your troubles and cares just fly away.

Pat r.
