I too like watching storms.  In fact if I knew it would be 100% safe I would loe to be in a glass ball in the middle of the gulf in the middle of a hurriane.  What awesome power!!!!!

Hi everyone!

Sounds like everyone is busy and tired.

Happy anniversay George.

Karen Happy Birthday

Connie, Hope you are feeling better.

Elieen, good luck with the packing and move.  Sounds exciting.

I am tired from all the company and work from Sunday and Monday.  Luckily the weather held up until late last night.  We dodged the storms.  Thankfully.

Today I have nothing pressing to do.  I am happy, going to rest all day.  Tomorrow starts my busy week once again.

Asked my son and his girlfriend over for dinner tonight.  Too many left overs and I want them gone!

I did cheat a little this weekend but back on Protein drinks today.  Not going to get off of the diet again.  Though, I admit it was good to taste things I haven't in a year.  Guess what?  Nothing made me sick!

Well, have a great day

Peace

Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Hello Linda and all my OFF friends,
Happy Anniversary George and Mary.  Our 38th is on the 10th of this month.
Happy Birthday Maui Karen.
I had a wonderful weekend.  Friday night I picked up some Stella D'oro day lilies and lavender bee balm a lady was giving away on Freecycle.  She was cleaning out her gardens.  Saturday I spent cleaning but that's OK because now all my floors are clean.  Sunday, we went for a drive to visit my husband's Aunt.  She must have been feeling pretty good because her and her aide were not home when we got there.  It's an hour drive one way.  So hubby and I just drove took our time going back home.  We stopped by the nursery and got flats of impatiens, cascading petunias and begonias for our various window boxes and pots.  I will be planting tonight after work.  Monday I marched with my Tiger Cubs in our Memorial Day Parade.  The kids are just two cute.  I brought bags of candy for the kids to throw out to the kids in the crowd.  I won't do that again.  It was a logistical nightmare LOL.  They were trying to throw out too much . . . dropping it all over the place . . . whining when we told them to give it a rest . . . and sometimes throwing it at people.  After the parade my Mom and sis came over for an afternoon picnic.  The weather was gorgeous all weekend.  Between the housework and the marching I dropped a few lbs. too.
I hope everyone is well.
((Hugs))

Good afternoon Linda, OFFr's. . .

Nice to see you here and glad you had a good time in Louisiana. . .

Haven't had time to be here the past few days, my bbq on Saturday was a great success, most everyone showed up and stayed until it was time to go.  I got a little stressed in the am putting the finishing touches on things, as I am really out of practice with entertaining, working in NY for so long (living 90 miles from work and 5 hours of commuting a day for 6 years) did not leave room for doing such things, I used to love hostessing parties and heck, I still do, but was real thankful to Diane for all the work she put into it, it was mutual friends, so with her help, we had a really nice time, and the truth was we were organized and ready Saturday a.m., but my perfectionism and not wanting to be missing anything that you need for a bbq, made me stress out a bit, told Diane, I think I'm getting old (lol). . .  she felt the same way. . .  as I said, it all turned out great, even the weather, which was forecasted earlier in the week to be perfect, and changed Thr night, turned out good, it was overcast, but warm enough and it never did rain. . .  and two Italian gals, you can imagine that there was enough food to feed 2x the people we had there (lol). . .

Sunday, Tony came down, we took Roxie to the dog park, went out for breakfast and then my co-worker friend, Susan, came up from Wilmington, we went to see Letters from Juliet, it was predictable and sweet, a feel good kind of movie and then I read that Vanessa Redgrave and Mr. Nero sort of were playing a role that they somewhat lived in real life, which made it sweeter, after the movie we went back and sat in my yard, where we ate some of Saturday's leftovers, then Susan left and I just kind of hung out until bedtime.

Monday, we drove to Brigantine, a little island just past Atlantic City, where one of my friends, Kathy, whose birthday we were celebrating on Saturday at my bbq and who, at the bbq, invited Diane and I down to her family place, which I found out, they have had for over 50 years.  So we had a beautiful drive down there and then spent a few hours on the beach, talking, hanging out, took a walk and watched someone catch a striped bass on the beach, as well as walked to the free beach, where you can drive your car onto the beach, as well as have dogs there, I will certainly be taking Roxie there sometime in the future, as Kathy said we have an open invite to come down throughout the summer, though she warned us that in July there are these nasty biting flies, known as greenheads. . . got home at 7, took Roxie to the dog park, as I felt guilty leaving her alone all day long and then wiped out from my day driving and the incredibly social weekend I had, I went to bed at 9.  So that sums up my weekend and where I been ;)

Today I am at work, the day is going by quickly, yay!  After work I will be driving up to Langhorne, PA where I am meeting with the people we do support groups with at the place that allows us to have the meetings, we have some things to discuss and work out and then I will probably get home somewhere around 9. . .  long day, but I am somewhat rested and looking forward to more summer fun in just 3.5 days ;)

Congrats to George & Mary on their wonderful live together. . .  Happy Birthday to our dear sistah, Karen S., very happy to see Connie is back among us recovering from her surgery and Eileen, happy to hear you are purging and packing for your new life chapter, Judy, hope you feel better, glad to read that Marcy has found out nothing more serious is wrong than getting her diet tweaked, Cassie, hope your anger has subsided and to everyone else, good evening and sending my happy thoughts your way, praying for peace and strength for all in need. . .

Hugs, Laureen
