What's New, Wednesday Edition....
I laughed last night with my TOPS friends. It was good to be back in the fray. I'm social... it gets lonely staying around the house. Today I have a couple of friends coming to visit. Oh- I called the woman who held my hand after the accident. We talked for over an hour- what a sincere and kind person she is... my new friend. We have decided to keep in touch... we like each other and think we were meant to be buddies.
I'm missing work (GEEZ) and I'm feeling tied down without my car. I think I have another week of recovery to go, but I'm getting ready to set up the "driving" challenge.
My accident was a week ago today. I guess from now on the guys at "Les Shwab" (the tire place) will be my other new best friends!
Back to bed... sleeping is much better again, thank God!

I didn't sleep very well so it's a drag-my-butt kind of morning. :P I gave up trying to get a good night's sleep around 4 and since it's supposed to be so darn hot today, I start fixing things to make salads for dinner: chicken, potato and coleslaw. Now all that's ready for tonight except putting the final touches onto the chicken. I started running out of steam an hour ago so I sat down to the computer. I'd take a nap except I'm going to be going out with my daughter Heidi to help her get glasses. She got a tax return and since she's got no insurance, needs to use it to pay for the lenses cuz she's so darn near sighted and has astigmatism.
We have to start all over (again) with Bank of America. I'm so frustrated I could scream cry and beat my fists on the wall.
Hope everyone else has a wonderful Wednesday.

Wow, have been really busy. Trying to keep up with all the posts.
Today I have the medical supply company come out because my bi-pap machine is not working and the mask is too big. The machine will let air come in and it won't let me breathe out. I could suffocate, that is what it felt like.
Went to the thrift store and lunch yesterday. OMG, we all bought tons of stuff and everything was 50 and 75% off. My daughter bought 7 pair of jeans and a bunch of candle holders and other trinkets. She only spent 17.00 ! The jeans all look new and even two are Gloria Vanderbilt. lol. we are good bargain hunters.
It was fun, I really like to rummage through stuff and find the best bargains. I bought a size 10 jeans and I can almost button them. Probably another five pounds and it will. That is my next goal.
I have had snack fever lately too. I don't know why. I must be staying up too late and get hungry. Going to try and drink a protein drink late and see if that helps. I will have to g o to bed right away..
I hope everyone is well and it is going to be hot here too. I wanted to work out in the yard, going to see how long I can take it. I don't mind the sun that much but the humidity gets to me. Maybe it is better to wait to work towards the evening.
Well... that is enough of my babbling today.
Peace
I am on my way. What a ride it has been.

Just read an e-mail from the woman handling the short sale: she says the HUD counselor says I don't qualify ... I don't qualify? I'm unemployed! (Or I was when I filed ... and now I'm moving out of state! if it doesn't sell, it will go into foreclosure ... would they rather have that? I don't intend to pay on it.) These people are really stupid.
I had a visit from one mover yesterday and another today, plus I talked to another company that sends a trailer over and then you pack it, and they drive it down there. That's a real possibility; much cheaper than the movers but less stress than renting a truck. However, I still like the possibility of the movers because I wouldn't have to do as much. I could do a lot of packing, just leave the fragile stuff and furniture to them. It costs more, but less stress and worry on me.
Still hot here ... 75 degress already and climbing up to the high 80s. Possibly some storms. My body says so at least.
I spent a lot of yesterday uninstalling and reinstalling my all-in-one printer because the scanner didn't work. Still haven't got it working. I have to send my acceptance letter back to my new employer and can't scan it in, so I'm going to have to go out and have it faxed out at Staples or some place like that. I also have to find a drug lab nearby for my drug screen ... seems this place they want me to go to only has three places in Michigan and they're all near Lansing. I may have to go on a road trip. I'll get to try out my new GPS.
Well, that's all for me. I now have A/C in my car ... but may have a leak in the car. I hope this car makes the trip to Louisiana in one piece.
Have a good day. Stay cool.
I am so happy to hear you have a new job, and hope you thrive in your new position, meet lots of new friends, maybe even Mr. Right if your are looking for him.
Take care,

thinking of going to the zoo today. be my first time at this one since i have moved here :-) so many things i want to see and do and it all costs money which is tight but we deserve to do some things. when i first moved here ricks mom mentioned that we would ALL go to the zoo..her, ricks brother joe, ricks daughter and grandson and us. well they went the other day and never asked us if we would like to go. kind of made us upset but oh well...i would rather go alone with rick anyhow...would have been nice to see anthony seeing the animals though. rick sias there is also the rain forest there we can go to if i want. saw the rain forest in vegas when we were there years ago and it was pretty cool with the changes in weather they do there. and the live animals...wow!!!
well i rattled on long enough here so will get my shower in and wake my sweetie up so we can get going. have a great day everyone!!!
Just popping in my head to say hi, had a good visit with my older daughter last night, came away feeling that she is really someone to be proud of and wishing we lived closer, I miss my daughters, so hard when they live far enough that you can't see them enough. . . my son, his wife and the grans were there too, we had a nice dinner and the grands just love aunt Marlene. Got home about 10:30 and off to bed, where Roxie was sure to get her petting time, up this morning, petting time, shower, dressed, Roxie got her walk in and then I closed up all the windows and put the ac on, as the temps were going to be 90s today and tomorrow and Roxie does not seem to handle the heat well, so that being done, I left for work, where I am typing at you from now. . .
Anyway, tonight I plan on shopping for the bbq I am hosting on Saturday and am happy that the weather report for this upcoming holiday weekend, sounds perfect, low 70s and maybe 80, sunny and dry. . . looking forward to it. . .
Well enough said and I wish you all the best day and hope Connie is recovering well from her surgery, wishing you peace and strength to get through whatever life throws your way!
Hugs, Laureen

Work has been busy today. I can't complain, it's better than being slow. At least it makes the day seem to go faster.
We are going to march with the boy scouts tonite to a cemetery to honor a past scoutmaster and cubmaster. Then we are going out to dinner. It is 90 something here. Too hot to cook.
I bought an air conditioner from Walmart today. It looked factory sealed. I open it and it is all scratched up on the bottom and there is no instruction book for it. So I went back and exchanged it right away. I haven't opened the second one yet. I had to get back to work since I was on my lunch hour. I hope it's new.
Tomorrow I'm giving a training at work so I have to be in an hour earlier. Didn't get to cleaning the house last night. Too many finales on TV.
Went to the gastroenterologist yesterday. I have to use Benefiber twice a day and they are giving me an acid pump inhibitor for my acid reflux. Now I just have to be consistent to see if that helps me with my problems.
I'm really bummed I won't get to see my grandkids until the end of August. The last time was after Easter. I miss them.
((Hugs))
