Good Saturday Morning,
It is a nice morning here today and I am not feeling like doing any of the things on my list today, but not feeling like it and what I will actually do, is not something that will be one and the same. . .
Yard work, cleaning, laundry, shopping for and preparing food are on my list of things to get done, but I think before I do any of that I will take Roxie and go to the park, where I will get some exercise walking her and she will get to play with her four-legged, furfaced friend. . .
Well that's it for me, you all have a wonderful day!
Special prayers for Julia and anyone else who is in need. May you find the peace and strength to get through any of lifes challenges.
Hugs, Laureen
My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

I've also not been feeling well, not eating well. Finally went to see the dr. "dumping syndrome" has reared its very ugly head again. I have the severe delayed dumping. No rhyme or reason to it..I don't dare eat sugar. I dump on fruit, veggies and protein. So I was becoming slightly malnourished and having major malabsorption issues again. Back on the medicine to slow my digestion down..and now another round of tests cause the Dr. suspect that my thyroid is not working either.
Blessings and prayers to all who need them..I do miss coming online to visit, but until summer I will be scarce.
Love to all..

I haven't told my 83 year old mom about this yet- I don't want her to see me just now. She freaked out (more than necessary) about the cancer and there's no need to worry her with this just yet.
I was supposed to go to a play today but it's not possible. Maybe I'll get to go in a couple of weeks. Again- you don't realize how much your words comforted me and I am truly thankful for them.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good Morning,
My little part time job ends up being about 4 days a week when I'm available. If I'm not working I'm at my daughter's helping with the twins and helping Erin with things that she finds difficult to do at 8 mos pregnant.
So I'm back to really enjoying the weekends! Just 2 more weeks of school here so summer will relieve me of the job for a couple of months.
Last month I tucked $1000.00 into my "plastics" fund. I'm getting info from the U of Washington residency plastic surgery organization. Several people have recommended them and say that they are much less expensive than the private doctors. I want to have an upper/inner thigh "transformation" probably late next spring. I'll save all I can until then. I start drawing my SS next March so will take my "earnings" to help pay for it also.
Don't plan on having anything else done. I could just go on and on but the arms and "girls" can be contained pretty well. These thighs are something else and cause my pants to no fit well at all. If I get them loose enough for the thighs they are about 2 sizes too big.
Having a few friends over for an early dinner tomorrow. We haven't had a chance to get together in several months. We're making it potluck. I'm making the main course: a baked chicken for those on restricted diets and a sausage/shrimp jambalaya for those who dare. It's spicy but so yummy. Friends are bringing a couple of salads and I'm making angel food cake/ fresh strawberries for dessert.
Also having "guests" will cause me to work inside for a few hours. About the only way the house gets cleaned during nice weather. I'd much rather be in the yard!
Hope you all have a nice weekend.

Tom left the laundry room door open. That's where I have tons of plants. Abigail

It going to be one of those days that I wonder why I have cats. One mess after another.
Tom finally went to the doctor - yup - he now has gout.
Have a great weekend.
