WHAT'S GNU WITH YOU THIS SUNDAY!!!
We had a wonderful weekend with kids and grandkids. Friday night we visited the campsite where our son Jason and family were camping. We got there before our kids. When they arrived, I walked over to greet them and my son said "Mom you're almost looking skinny"! Well, I'm FAR from skinny at 246! But 60 pounds does make a difference.
Then yesterday we drove 1.5 hrs to a cabin owned by our SILs cousin. We spent the day at the cabin and did some fishing. It's a beautiful location and Sena, the 4 year old caught some fish with her Barbie fishing pole. She was in hog heaven but didn't want to touch the fish. The 18month old actually held the fish and loved it.
I walked from the cabin to the pond. I wasn't sure I could do it, given I'm just a week out from GB surgery, but did it and was very proud of myself. My daughter walked with me (the others rode on the 4-wheeler pulling a wagon). She said that I walked faster than I ever did. I reminded her that I'm not having knee pain now, so that was part of it - well that and 60 lb less weight to carry.
So I guess that's 2 NSVs coming from our kids. I love my sleeve!

Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

It's just after 8 and I figured I would hop on real quick before the day gets away from me!
Hope everyone's doing well!
Since I last posted, not a whole lot has happened. I found out my youngest has a miniscal tear in her left knee and will need surgery after she graduates high school. She's away with her classmates on the senior class trip.
Ted found out a lot of his neurological problems are a result of spinal stenosis. Well ... I guess it's better than finding out it's damage from diabetes. Don't know if this can be fixed with a laminectomy or not. Have to meet w/a surgeon.
Last night my son and I went to see a high school production of Les Miserables. This is a birthday gift because my son enjoys plays and we don't get much mother-son time together. Anyway, this high school is in a rather wealthy district with a big drama budget. The performances were all *awesome*. The theater was *HUGE*. We had a good time!
Today? Not sure what the day will bring. The only solid plans I have is to be in front of the TV for the entire Lost event.

Woke up to a cool sweet breeze coming in the window which tells of a real nice day ahead! I love spring.
We went up home yesterday. When we left stepdads house all nice and clean, hubby had done the lawn real nice, Ted had several homemade meals included his beloved homemade bread and we had be yardsaling one of Teds favorite activities. We have to do that more often. Quiet day here today gonna skip church as I have a major back owie and little charge has a sniffly nose and I'm not sure if its a contagious cold or not. Think I am gonna make chicken noodles for dinner'

I have a lot of odds and ends to get in order today. I need to be at the hospital at 5:30 tomorrow morning. Surgery is at 7:30. I want the pain gone but I don't want to go through all this again....oh well have to any way!
I will not be here for a couple days for sure....I will check in when I can.
