Hi all,

My nut suggested I eat low fat granola mixed with dried fruit as a trail mix snack. Here's what I came up with. I'll have to figure out all of the calories and such, but 1/2 cup of the Special K Low Fat Granola has 190 cals. I need to up my calories through more calorie dense foods, and this was a great snack yesterday!!

1/2 c Special K Low Fat Granola
10 pecans, cut in half
1 tbs raisins
1 tbs craisins
dash of cinnamon, 1 pkt sweet n low.

Put all of it in a lidded container, shake well and enjoy!  This would be great sprinkled on yogurt or over my home made applesauce.

My day yesterday:

bkfst burrito
lasagna made w/ ww pasta, salad
2 oz chicken w/ 1/3 c broccoli casserole
granola/trail mix, 1/2 apple

lattes, coffees and such

cals:1435  fat: 47  carbs: 173  fiber: 23  pro: 90

B-High Protein Drink
L-turkey meatloaf and green beams
S-protein bar
D-small chef salad
S-string cheese

Low fat granola is good. One yummy snack.

I need to run off to see my therapist. Maybe she can help me get this bug out of my a$$. Beetle

The addition of pecans and dried fruit added some heart healthy fat and calories. Annette, you really should mix some up and give it a try. I'm going to make a big batch and portion it out into 1/2 cup baggies to have at work for those times when I just can't stop to eat.

Do you have a can of Raid?

Todays food

B- Oatmeal
S- 1/2 apple
L- 3 oz salmon, bulgur wheat pilaf, salad
S- 6oz yogurt (key lime pie flavor)
S- Protein w/fiber
D- Egg whites with broccoli and feta cheese, 1 slice whole wheat toast

Hi Susan and everyone,

I am doing pretty good on the eating.  I upped my protein like you said and some calories and it seems to be working for me.  Lost around 2lbs.  Which is good.

Yesterday was a little rough because I was taking my inlaws to doctor appointments

Coffee
B Protein drink/banana
S String cheese
L Cottage cheese and pineapple
S string cheese a few almomds
D - Green beans and a piece of keilbassa
S- cattage cheese and pineapple. This seems to fill me and not make me hungry right away
