What's New Thursday Edition

The day to day for me seems kind of trivial right now.  It's amazing how something like this pushes everything else to the background.  She'll be fine but the next two months are going to be tough.
I went and bought her that Nook from Barnes and Noble (thanks George for the recommendation).  She's an avid reader and I figured she can use it for the recuperation and all the boring waiting rooms at doctors and testing places.  I figured it's a better investment than cards, flowers and plants. It also will be her birthday and Christmas gifts for a while too, LOL.
Thanks again.  We will take all the prayer, thoughts and swinging chickens we can get.

morning OFF...

well the sun is out today again and then we are to get more rain/storms for the weekend!!! GRRRRR there goes most of our plans for a fun weekend (which i took off from work!!!)

talked to my sister yesterday and she said she is doing ok just shaky when standing/walking. said drs think they got her arm fixed right this time!!! WOOOHOOOO i hope they are right!!!

anyone watch american idol? i said from the begining that crystal would win it and looks like i might be right!!! next week we will find out if she wins. lee is also good but crystal i thinjk i alot better!!! she is from ohio...way to go crystal!!

working long hours today and tomorrow...1-9 today and then 8-5 tomorrow. i hate the back to back long hours because it hurts my hip. not to mention i have to lift heavy items on friday morning when shopping for the food court groceries.

had a headache last night and rick gave me a head massage to help ease it away. helped some...best part was him holding me in his arms while we watched tv.

ricks mom called him yesterday afternoon to let him know she had his daughter and the baby with her and would stop over later. well guess what...it was a NO show again!!! i told rick i think she does that just to make us jealous that she is seeing them and we aren't!!! and when she does bring them over SHE (ricks mother) has control over the baby so he doesn't get to close to either one of us!!! i think she is a very controling woman if you ask me!!! one time she sat here and told us that anthony knows all his grandparents names well he doesn't know us....and i was also told i was JUST judy....now why would ricks exwifes boyfriend be called grandpa and i can't be called grandma??? just makes me boil.....sighs

pat r.....good luck on your bone scan!! and i hear you on this weird weather we have been getting!! wi**** would make up its mind and stay nice!!! have fun at the wedding!!!

susan the cost of a movie ticket for 2 is outrageous...then to consession stand on top of that...omg!!! we wait til the movie comes out on dvd and then buy it and also no big head in front of us while we watch it!!! why is it when the theater is NOT crowded they still have to plunk down right in front of us???? just makes me angry that people do this!!!

karen c i am with you on the facebook thing!!! its to big for me also!! i can't figure it out and only peek in see if anything new on my page?? lol

lol i cheated here today...i took NOTES so i wouldn't forget who posted what!!! LOL and if i didn't post about your post its because it wasn't there when i started posting...but i will read it and think of you!!!

Yes, it seems many are on Facebook, as am I, but I don't post to it too often, just pictures and an occasion response with regards to postings on my profile, which I've set so no one but friends and family can access.  I have found it a resource for connecting with people far away, but life is such these days that I have little time for the computer stuff, however, I continue to try and stay abreast of those who have been an integral part of this journey I've been on now for some time.  You all mean alot to me and so I will be here, like others have said, I need the support here, plus I believe it important to be here for those newer than I to help them on their journey and to get me reinvigorated when I am slacking, like lately. . .  it's a lifetime adventure and I certainly do seem to like detours. . .

Today I have a mammogram scheduled, though I've been so busy, I don't remember where I put the script for it, hope to find it, or else I will have to reschedule. . . .  sad to say it's been at least 4 years since I had one done, but I was once told that if you have them regularly and they are "normal" you can skip a year or so, but thereto, I stretched it to the max. . .  me and my rebellious nature. . .

Ok, back to the business at hand, lots to do here these days and now I need to get back to it!
