What's New Thursday Edition
sounds like you have a busy day planned.
im about to leave for work, and then im meeting a friend for lunch at the mall.
i got a brace for my ankle now and trying to get used to it is a challenge. some
days i can only do a few hours and other days i seem to be able to wear it all
day which is what the doc wants me to do.
hope everyone has a great day. where have all our posters gone?? the thread
seems to be getting shorter and shorter.
hugs to all, Jacki
I am having a bone density scan this morning, then finish changing the bed, and hopefully work outside a bit today. It's supposed to get up to 80 deg. here.....from one extreme to another. I can't be in the sun for long, so won't be outside much. Holding off planting annuals until next week. Grand daughter is getting married on Saturday in Gr. Rapids, so my DS and DIL and I will be going up for that.
My life is pretty boring.....

Done! Your Ticker:
Work is busy and now the weather is beautiful. Can't wait for summer and in 8 weeks or less my new granddaughter Loulabelle will be born!
Nothing new with me, I just keep exercising and practicing mindful eating.
Went for a bike ride last night with granddaughter Rozzie, we did 3.5 miles in less than 30 minutes. Pretty good for a 7 year old. I love hanging out with Rozzie, she is the most active little girl who is just busy, busy and more busy! Came back home and she started jumping on the trampoline.
Quiet day here. Visiting family left yesterday. Angel Mary is supervising the supervised visitation of gramma and my little charge so I have a whole 2 hrs free!! Think I will do some major grocery shopping since fridge cupboard are still empty. then I think picnic in the park sounds right.
Prayers always continuing for my friends here. Have a great day.
I have to listen in on a "webinar" today for work. It lasts 90 minutes. It's about a new system that the State Dept. of Health is implementing that I will need to use in order to obtain grant funding. On Tuesday when I go back to work, I'll attend a hands-on computer training on the same topic.
I have a hair appt. at 1:00. My hairdresser lives in the next town west about 20 miles. I'll pick up a few groceries while there and I need to get a birthday gift for a friend.
After that, if I'm feeling up to it, I'm going to stop at a roadside nursery to purchase some flowers. One of my co-workers gave me a gift certificate for there after I had my WLS. If I don't make it there today, I'll go Saturday. It's about a 7 mile drive north of here.

Not much going on today, Gary decided to take the day off at the last minute and now I have to change my plans. Not that I HAVE to change my plans, but I will anyway. We might go to a movie, possibly Robin Hood.
Yes, the threads are getting shorter with fewer folks around. The Arkansas board might as well be dead, as no one has posted in days. I've been the cheerleader there for nearly 4 years and find it impossible to cheer without a team. Lots of the folks are on FB, which is great, but I miss them and fear that if they don't have a WLS community to lend support, they might end up in trouble. Oh well, can't be the mother hen to the whole world.
Julia, SO glad you're okay. Such a scary accident that could have had a much worse outcome!

Good Morning Cindy and Friends, I too miss people who no longer post. I will still be here tho I too am less active than I used to be. Busy life with grands and working part time again. And that is all good but I must not forget where I was in 2005 prior to WLS and how much this forum meant to me then as a lifeline of hope and how much it means to me still. And THAT convoluted mess of words comes from a former English teacher!
I don't trust Facebook, too big for me. Rarely go there except to look at pictures posted. Also didn't sign up for the extra friends group on OFF. Dunno, but I just like to keep it simple when it comes to computer stuff.
Our group does come and go. I find that when I don't find time to post I kind of get "forgotten" about. When we post people stay interested in our lives and what is happening. Not right or wrong just how it is. I know I think about those who aren't posting, sometimes I search them out sometimes I don't. But I do know that this forum is very important to me and I get as much as I give probably that is a kind of balance. Kind of like the paying it forward. What goes around comes around.
We had one heck of wind/rain storm blow through here last night, but everything is fresh and bright this morning.
I put up a bird feeder that I picked up at the thrift store. It has been discovered. Lots of little tweety birds and one big fat quail. The quail sits on the top of the fence waiting to get the "spillage" from the little birds. He or she doesn't look like it has missed many meals.
Speaking of big, fat birds anyone happen to watch the moive "Food, Inc"? Oh my gosh those poor chickens. . .It was a real eye-opener. The kids rented it on netflix last week. It's about our food supply and really gives one a lot to think about.
I'd better get off of here and get to stirring. I'm available to work today and I always get called when available. Worked with 2nd graders yesterday and I always enjoy those days. So busy but they are so enthusiastic!
Cindy, thinking of you and the decisions you are making with your mom. I know that you will feel better once a placement has been found. Julia, hope you "mend" quickly and I am so thankful that the outcome was not worse. Thinking of you rolling that car. What size of a car do you have? After my daughter's wreck on I-5 in March I certainly have been rethinking little economy cars.
Sending positive thoughts your way.
