Has there been a What Are You Reading? thread this month?
I got my Nook 10 days ago. In that time, I have read four books. I love it.
Midnight in Death by J.D. Robb. My first book by her. Decent book.
The Bullpen Gospels by Dirk Hayhurst. A first hand look into minor league baseball life. Excellent read for baseball fans.
Haunted Baseball by Mickey Bradley. SoSo. Too much ghost crap. A lot of vague stuff. Not much substantiated. Too much Yankees. I don't even like to read about the Yankees.
The Chicago Way by Michael Harvey. Excellent book. Mr Harvey is the executive produce of Cold Case Files. This was his first book. I will look for more by him. Evidently it might be the start of a series of a private eye, Michael Kelly.

Hi George,
I'm reading a very naughty book...actually re-reading it, read it a long time ago.
Skye O'Malley by Beatrice Small.
Next on my list is some Debbie Macomber book I just picked up at a garage sale.
Oh and I'm reading a great book by some PhD on mindful eating, learning to change your eating habits and keeping that change. Very good book, will post on it after I'm done in case someone needs that type of self help book.

Gray and gloomy again here this morning....gosh we need some sunshine.
I just finished "The Story of Edgar Sawtelle" ....a great read, but dissapointing ending. If you love dogs, you will like it very much.
Our book club selection is "Princess - Life behind the Veil in Saudi Arabia".....actual true story. Haven't started it yet....probably this afternoon.
Have a whole shelf of books to work on, just gotta find the time.

Done! Your Ticker:
I'm actually reading two books at one time, which is quite unusual for me! I'm reading Laurel K Hamilton's Divine Misdemeanors it's part of the Meredith Gentry series, it's hardcover so it's hard to carry around with me, I'm reading it while on the recumbent bike. The other one is Dean Koontz's The Husband, it's paperback and fits in my purse for those times when I have a few minutes to spare.

Hi George,
There was a thread a few days into May but I wanna talk about books whenever I can, LOL! It sounds like you're getting a LOT read with the Nook!
My questions about it:
what's the font/back light like? Is it hard on the eyes?
How heavy is it to hold?
Right now I'm reading Frankenstein: The Prodigal Son and Healing the Inner Child. I read the first one when I go out to doctors' offices and such so I'm reading each one about equally.
Also this month I finished up The Circus Fire and read The Last Days of Dogtown and Symptoms of Withdrawal.
Gee the next thread is coming up real soon, where is this year going???

I just went to the library yesterday.....giving a break to reading my mysteries...
This time I picked up
Moving through your problems towards Finding God by Dr. Larry Crabb
And also picked up 2 books by Joel Osteen
And I just got notified that a book I requested has arrived so Ihave to pick it up on Friday.
Hope something in one of these inspires me or talks to me.......
