hi everyone

well i had a date tonight, with a nice man.  we have chatted for about 6 weeks now and found that we have mu*****ommon.  so we agreed to finally meet for dinner.

so we are reading this large large menu, and start talking about food, and he tells me that he cant eat very big portions anymore, cause guess what, he had a gastric bypass almost two
years ago.  we were both so stunned, because in all our talking this subject had never come up.

so small world isnt it.  it made dinner even more comfortable because we had this in common now also.

just had to tell someone, so you all got elected.

hugs to all, Jacki

Jacki, I bet you were both a bit stunned. He probably was nervous about sharing this with you. What a great way to get to know even more about each other. Could make for some inexpensive dinner dates couldn't it? Even if you have the most expensive thing on the menu!!

Oh my gosh, how wonderful that you have this in common!  I would think that finding someone new who understands our lifestyle would be difficult. Heck, finding someone to date in general is hard enough, but trying to explain our changed habits/bodies too?
I think this is a great thing, Jacki. Was he a nice man?

Good for you, Jacki.  Good company, cheap dinners, and mutual support.

I only wish.

Last new guy I met, we stopped for coffee and he had 3 jelly donuts.

Candy, You just crack me up. So few words but so much meaning! I can picture him and the thoughts running around in your head!!

I just kept telling myself, "You HATE jelly donuts.  You HATE jelly donuts!".  Good thing they were't cream filled, or I would have opted for intimacy right there in the donut shop!

Alas, he's not for me.  None of them are, apparently...

Ah, bavarian cream with a not too rich chocolate frosting. . . that one would make me curl my toes too.

Wow!  Maybe there's something in the stars.  Karma?

What kind of appetizer do you order?  We went to a restaurant for the first time last week and the only appetizers on their menu were deep fried.  Onion rings sounded great, but I didn't think that was a good idea. LOL

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.
