Exercise......lets get moving - Thurs

Hello.

Well I've done my cardio walk for the day.  I was able to do 3.25 miles in 57 mins.  I'm getting better...a little faster and longer distance each time.  Soon I'll get back up to 5 miles.  :-)

I want to try some water aerobics later today.....any of you experienced water aerobic folks have any suggestions for me?  My pool is small so no laps....I could run ...any other ideas?

Ruth.....I hope to be out walking again soon.

As for now it is just 45 minutes on the exercise ball.

Idea's for Water Aerobics:
Stand at edge of pool, go up and down on toes 100 times (great for your calves)
Buy water weights/buoys to do sit ups in the pool, turn to sided and to side bends, do the legs out wide and bring down all the way and slowly lift legs up.
Walking lunges in the pool
Squats in the pool
Jumping jacks
Volley Ball jumps
Torpedo jumps
Frog jumps
Cross Country Ski in place
Do the "washing machine" twisting body all around in circles
One leg rocking horse, using arms in great big circles, reverse arms and go again!

You don't have to have a big pool to exercise
Also do Yoga/Pilate's moves in the pool, inner core strength!!

Go Ruth Go!!!! I love the pool, too bad I don't live by ya...we could do pool work together.
