Going to have a job interview!

... in Monroe, La., sometime either May 19, 20 or 21 ... don't know all the particulars yet, but I'll fly out of Chicago O'Hare down there (she wanted me to fly out of Detroit; I don't know my way around Detroit ... it'll be easier for me to fly out of O'Hare, leave my car at Mom's and take a taxi).

The only downside is they don't pay relocation costs, so this new job could end up costing me a lot to move, if I get it. But still, I'd be making a salary and that's more than unemployment.

Monroe is only about 2 hours (408 miles) from us!  Will you fly into Shreveport?

Don't know yet; I would think I'll fly into Monroe because they do have an airport  (I checked).

Eileen, I love how pro-active you have been in all ways since losing your job. You haven't just sat around moping. you've been actively doing all that you can to improve your situation. New job, new location, new people to meet. Sounds exciting to me. Think positive! I'll be doing the same.

Well, I did mope for awhile ... I spent a few weeks sitting in my pjs drinking coffee all day and crying and being bitter. But through the help of my shrink, good drugs and good friends, I got through the worst of it. Spring came, and as the song goes, "I can see clearly now, the rain has gone, all of the bad feelings have disappeared."
