It's Friday -- What's new!
It's a dreary, rainy day here in Ontario. I guess that I will be indoors cleaning instead of being outside enjoying the sunshine.
I am on my second week of my nine week vacation. There is so much to do and I know that I will not be able to accompli**** all. I was supposed to be in Toronto today for blood tests for my (late) 3 month checkup. I am not feeling well, so I had to cancel the appointment. I have an inflamed lung - seen when I had a mammogram two weeks ago. My doctor thinks that it may be from the radiation (36 sessions) that I had for breast cancer 6 years ago. That seems odd to me since I had a chest xray in the last 6 months and nothing was said about an inflamed lung then. I'll find out next week what is going on.
My sister died last year at the age of 69. She also had breast cancer 6 years ago. Since then, she was very healthy, slim, and a person who walked miles every day to keep fit. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and died within 4 months of the diagnosis. We just found out that the heart failure was caused by the toxicity of the chemotherapy, which weakened what was a very healthyheart. We had her for five more years, but - geez - sometimes, it seems like we can't win for losing.
My dogs are over-nighting at their favourite place, outside of home, and I miss the two dingbats and their silly, lovable behavoiur. However, cleaning up their hair and the mess they always leave behind will keep me busy until they come back tomorrow morning. Silly goofs.
Have a great day and enjoy all of the flowers popping up. I planted morning glory seeds two days ago, and after soaking them in water overnight before I planted them, I saw that they were already out of the ground. The summer will be colourful.

Hi Pat and all my OFF friends,
Tonite and tomorrow night is our Scout show. I will be in a skit that will have the audience roaring. One of the men will be singing the song Honey Bun (from South Pacific). He thinks we ladies are going to come out during his song dressed in coconut cup bras and grass skirts. We are changing it up and coming out dressed as him! He's a hairy guy so we will be putting hair on our chests and arms. He has a signature outfit and look that we are copying. He might have trouble singing his song when he gets a load of us. My Tiger Cubs are singing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" in baseball uniforms. I hope they do well. I'm leaving work early to get ready for the show tonight.
Having a cookout on Sunday so everyone gets to see my Mom. Should be fun. I got a Mother's Day card in the mail from my Grands. Son will probably call on Sunday.
Tomorrow I need to work in the house. It takes no time at all for it to turn into a pig sty. I wish I had a fairy like Connie's.
Happy Mother's Day to all you ladies.
Bev

Good afternoon, Pat and everyone on OFF,
Ugh, I seem to have picked up a nasty miserable virus. On the up side, we had NO doctor appts/commitments today so I've been able to nap/rest much of the day ... when I'm not running to the bathroom.
This comes at a really bad time because my daughter's play is this weekend. Originally I planned to go tonight but if I'm feeling this yucky still I'll wait until tomorrow night.
Das ist alles I guess. Hope everyone else is having a fantastic Friday!
