It's Friday -- What's new!
Good morning Pat and OFF family.
TGIF...only thing better would be payday Friday!
Hubby goes for an interview here at the hospital I work at in the Maintenance Dept.
Say a prayer, swing chickens and cross your fingers!
It's raining here in Michigan. I'm glad hubby mowed the lawn yesterday while I was at work. We usually mow together, we have 2 riding lawn mowers for 8 acres. Takes us awhile even to do it with both of us.
Going to a SD birthday party tomorrow. I will be mindful eating and eat just a small piece of cake if any. Will stop in to see MIL Sunday after church.
Happy Mother's Day to all of us, even though I never had children of my own, I was "mother" to many kids in my lifetime. Hugs- Debbie

Up and ready to go to work. We'll leave for Des Moines as soon as we get off work. Will celebrate granddaughter Sena's 4th birthday tomorrow. Her birthday is Monday the 10th. It's also our oldest granddaughter Alex's 13th birthday. We took Alex and Jarod out for supper last night to celebrate their birthdays. They actually chose a regular restaurant, although we did go to McDonald's afterwards so they could have ice cream.
I'm anxious to see Sena's face when she opens her gift. She is a girly girl for sure and loves to dress up. She is outgrowing most of her dress up costumes and I couldn't find any in a larger size. But she takes dance lessons and loves to dance and perform for family. I bought her a new pink leotard and a tutu that's very frilly. I also bought her a new pair of plastic high heels. She has several pair, but you can never have too many shoes. It's funny when she's dressing up in her play clothes. She'll put on 2 different plastic shoes rather than digging in the toy box for a matching pair. I also bought her some earrings as she just got her ears pierced last month.
Her first dance recital is next month. I can't wait to go! Her mother (our daughter) took dance (tap, ballet, jazz) from age 5 through her senior year in high school. Her senior solo was in ballet. She also took gymnastics for 5 years and qualified for state her final year. She didn't place at state, but it it was a thrill that she made it. Her forte was balance beam. She did well on floor too, but uneven bars and vault - not so much. She was more about graceful instead of power/strength. Part of that was probably her experience in dance.
Well here I am reminiscing due to my darling little granddaughter. *sigh*
Have a nice mother's day all of you moms out there!

Good Morning Pat and everyone......
I have a Cat Scan of my hip scheduled for 2:00 today. I saw my surgeon yesterday. He took an X-Ray of my hip and said it appears to be all healed but he wants a scan to be absolutely sure. I see him again next Tuesday and we will then schedule surgery to have the pin removed. I will be glad when that is done!
I am not planning anything else today...I need a down day.
Wishing you all a really nice day. Prayers to all in need.
Love and hugs to all.....connie d
