Exercise....let's get movin' - Weds

Good day!
Middle of the week.....1/2 way to the weekend......wahoo.
I'm excited about getting to this weekend because I can officially start exercising again.  The best part of this weekend for me is that my Surgeon said I can try riding my bike.  YIPEE!!!  Hopefully it will be pain free and not put too much strain/pressure on the incisions around my groin.

The downside of this is he said I will swell but he wants me to let my body work thru this  It will take a little while but once I kind have that breathrough it should get better.  So I'm going to pump up my tires and do a quick check on the bike to make sure it is road ready.  

Are you looking forward to working out??? What are your plans?

Hello Ruth....I will be doing my exercise ball exercises this morning. I will try to get out and walk a little if I can.
I see my orthopedic doctor tomorrow and hopefully that pin in my hip will be removed soon. I miss my long walks!!

Hi Ruth and Connie and fellow exercisers to come!

It's a 3 mile walk for me during lunch break time with buddy Juli.
I will ride my bike when I get home after work. Love this weather for sure!

Went for a walk after dinner and grandkids wanted to come...so it was more looking at bugs and dead stuff in the road with Remi and Rozi took her bike but she had a hard time riding it on a freshly grated dirt road. We turned back around after walking half a mile, then went back and ran around our yard (8 acres of fun) and jumped on the trampoline.
Sigh...I miss my quiet walks sometimes but love the grandkids.

Hi Ruth, My little part time job which turns into about 4 days per week makes it hard to get everything in I need and want to do. Made it to the gym yesterday after work and got 4 miles in. Busy getting things ready for 12 days away from home. Mike and a recently retired buddy of many years are doing the Inside Passage cruise to Alaska May 9-16. I'll spend the time in and around the Seattle area helping my daughter in Chehalis, visiting my son and. . . hopefully meeting up with Grammylew from NC. She'll be in the Portland area that same week. I love meeting friends that I have come to know on line. We're going to try to meet up somewhere "in between" for lunch one day.  That's about it. Need to get in gear. Guess this kind of turned into a what's new post didn't it?

No formal exercise on Wednesday. Did help mow the lawn, did laundry, packing, cleaning out the fridge etc. Exercise the next 10 days or so will be a challenge. I will have plenty of time to do just have to get out there and practice! Lots of nice walking trails. Probably some rainy weather but I'll take rain gear so I don't have an excuse there. Last time I was at Erin's I did a 4 mile walk that included a couple of good hills. If I would do that every other day that should meet my goal. Now to just make sure I do it and not just talk about it.  What was that saying I read awhile back: "Between saying and doing many a pair of shoes is worn out!" How absolutely true.
