Good Monday to you
Hi Sue and my OFF family:
Wow, tomorrow's your big day! I wasn't nervous before my surgery nearly six years ago, just eager to begin my new life. I have never met Dr. Baker, but I hear he's great. I too have weird dreams from general anesthesia. I dreamt Dr. Foote said he did a lap band ... they didn't even do those back then!
I was really lazy yesterday ... just vegged most of the day. I did finally get some of the Easter stuff put away only because I got sick of looking at it, but I still have some more to put away. I've just been so tired since I got back from my trip. I want to go to the pool today but I woke up with a headache ... it's kinda gone now, but not altogether. And then I just feel out of it after it's gone. I might have to stick my head under the shower. Sometimes that helps.
Other than that, no big plans for today ... if I go to the pool, then I'll be home and maybe get some more Easter stuff put away. I want to work on getting my vacation photos organized and uploaded. It's a lengthy process.
Well, have a good day.

Hi Sue and all my OFF friends,
I had a great time with my sisters on Sat. We went to the Mohegan Sun casino. They had an offer that if you play $10 they gave you $20 to play with. So for ten dollars we played from 10:30 to 1:00 p.m. Then we went to the buffet for lunch. After lunch we decided to play again. I like the poker slots - at least there is some decision making and you don't feel like you are just feeding the machine. I won $51 so that covered my day with $13 profit. Then we decided to stop at an outlet mall on the way home instead of doing the shops at Mohegan sun. I got a set of tongs with the silicon ends so I can use them in my teflon fry pans. We were home by seven. It was a great day for talking and catching up with each other.
Sunday I did laundry and went grocery shopping. The weekend was nice weather, hot and in the 80s. Today its 70 and pouring rain. We've had a dry spell so we need the rain.
This week is our Troop, Pack and Venture Crews 86th Gang Show. It's the longest running Gang Show in the world. It's like a minstrel show from the 1930s. Lots of singing, skits and jokes. 2 1/2 hours of entertainment. My Tiger Cubs are singing Take Me Out To The Ball Game. Since the Whiffle Ball factory is in our town, they gave us a box full of balls to throw into the audience while they perform. What fun it will be. We do two shows, Fri. & Sat. night.
Work has calmed down, thank goodness. I was exhausted for a week there.
Made my appt. to see my WL surgeon June 8 so when I went grocery shopping yesterday I stocked up on all the foods that result in a weight loss for me. I'm also going to hit the gym at lunch hour.
Hubby did something nice just for me. He got me a vanity license plate the says TGR CUB and is on the "Keep Kids Safe" design plate. I was thrilled.
I hope everyone has a great week.
Bev

Sue,
I am sorry that you were having sad thoughts about the passing of your daughter, that sort of pain never leaves one, not that I've experienced it firsthand, but I have seen close friends experience it. . . anyway, I wanted to wish you the best tomorrow as you move towards healthier living!
Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
