Good Sunday Morning!
Karen the tomatoes are stunted unless nighttime temps are consistently above 50 degrees they just sit and dont grow. they will start again growing soon but you wont get tomatoes any quicker because you planted earlier....may even be later than everyone else. Here i never plant my tomatoes until about the first or second week of May since our chance of frost is not over till then...
Never heard that ditty about the 8th of may lol of course im a little older than you and wasnt really a part of the sexual revolution . i was already married and had a child by the time all of that started ....
Candy yeah i wish we did live closer to each other. im sure we both would have more than we could handle soon....I do share plants and seeds with a couple of friends that live far away ...the new boxes that the post office have that are a standard rate is pretty good for that.
well got to get busy ...have plants to go into the ground and seeds to plant in the garden plus weeding always.

Something to think about next year. We haven't had frost in almost a month but it sure isn't 50 at night either. At our old house we had a protected area right near a concret wall for our raised tomato beds. I think the wall collected heat during the day and kept the plants warmer. No wind, lots of protection for the plants. Not so up here on this hill.

Good morning Laureen and everyone here on OFF!
You sound like you've been very busy in a most positive way, Laureen! I haven't followed baseball in years, maybe 10. I rooted for the Mets, almost always the underdogs but I remember the series of '86...awesome! The last subway series (2000?) was a heartbreaker oh well.
Yesterday we had a splendid day with our grandson, Little T. We went to Smithville Park, which isn't far from us, and walked and walked. Tried to go to the playground there, too, but by the time we got there the sun had heated up all the equipment. T wasn't too disappointed and we decided to take him earlier (around 9:30) next weekend.
I don't have much planned today, especially since TB's suddenly ill. He woke up with a temp of 102. Yikes!
Have a super Sunday all!

Hi Laureen and my OFF family:
Sorry to hear about your uncle. My last aunt died last year; my mom is the last of her generation alive.
I am hurting a bit today ... I have a headache and my knee and back hurt. It was raining this morning but now is clearing up, so I don't know why I'm hurting so much ... more rain in the forecast, maybe? It has cooled but the pollen is still too high to open windows.
I watched the Phillies/Mets game ... Doc Halladay was just too tough for the Mets yesterday. Glad he's out of the AL now. The White Sox could never hit him. My Sox finally won a game, but of course it wasn't on TV ... I started watching it on the computer but then my 'puter ran out of juice and because we were having some storms I didn't want to plug it into any outlet without a surge protector, so I didn't get to see the end of the game. Watched a bunch more games on TV for the rest of the day. Got some of the Easter stuff put away ... I'm way behind because of vacation and just being lazy.
Not much on tap for today ... just baseball and hopefully more Easter packing away. I do want to dump one litter box. Just not feeling very ambitious. I think I'm still pooped from vacation. I did almost finish one book last night ... "Eleanor of Aquitaine" by Alison Weir; this is a nonfiction book but was just fascinating and reads like fiction, it's so good. She's a very good historian and great writer.
I started looking at apartments just in case my condo does sell and I don't get a new job somewhere out of Grand Rapids. Got to have a contigency plan in place. Just looked at the ads in the paper today, that's all.
Well, have a good day.
