Exercise.....movin and making muscles.....Weekend Edition

Good Morning.
Sunny skies here but expecting some rain later.  Perfect for an early morning walk (I didn't do it but it would have been perfect).

I just heard about a local class doing "chair yoga"...I might give it a try in 2 weeks.  I'll ask my surgeon when I see him on Tuesday.

So far I'm controlling the swelling by getting lots of rest and keeping the compression hose on 24x7.  I'll test the waters in a couple days to see how I do with just the compression garment and no hose.  If I see any sign of swelling I'll get them on again.  I'll also ask the surgeon about when I can realistically plan to start walking again.....I have my 5k on June 6th...I've gotta get better.

So what are your workout plans for this weekend???

Got out the door and to the gym before 9am today and spent over two hours and put in almost NINE MILES! Seven of them were on the eliptical where I was watching The Legend of Bagger Vance on the tv screen in front of me! Just couldn't quit til the end of the movie. My foot is sore so I think I'll probably have to ice it and take a Naproxen. But what a feeling of empowerment. And I know it was an after exercise weight but hopefully the 2 lb drop will still be at least partly there tomorrow!. Woo hoo!
