Update: My 3 year visit with Bariatric Surgeon
All went well BUT...as you all know I have gained weight, recently lost 7 pounds and need to take another 10 off...don't ya just love regain!! NOPE!
So here's the skinny:
I need to cut calories down to 1200-1400, LESS protein (sometimes I got 120 gms.)
Exercise is great so no problems there
Labs were terrific!!
Dr. Verseman encouraged me to eat:
3 meals a day
1-2 snacks a day
No drinking with meals...which I never do
So indeed I do want to lose some weight.
My mind is ready for it now.
Head games...I was freaking out at 146 and felt "too skinny" so I'm still aiming for 150-155 for me and my head.
It's all doable. This is my life. Nothing changes really except cutting down to 1-2 snacks instead of 3-4 a day which was mainly fruit. I just don't want to transfer into another eating disorder...because really I could just do shakes and eating one "real meal" a day but I won't do that just to get down to a number on the scale. I want to live, enjoy life and not have food control me or "call out to me". Food will if I feel deprived in anyway! LOL
Oh yeah...slowly this weight will come off.
Thank goodness I have support group on Saturday!!

So glad you had a good visit with your doc!
Did he say how many grams of protein you should be doing? My Nut says 70 grms a day, but that seems a little low, and your 120 seems high. It's so hard to know what the right ranges are, isn't it? She's had me at 1400 cals a day, but we'll see what she says when I go on the 18th. I really don't have much trouble in the 1200-1300 cals a day range, 1400 can be a bit trickier...I feel like I'm eating all day to do that.
Sure wish I could get into exercising like you do.

Hi Debbie,
I'm sure you'll get this done. You seem to me to be someone who accomplishes what she truly but her mind to doing.
A WLS friend of mine told me she was taking in 120 gms every day and she developed kidney stones....the Dr told her is directly linked to consuming too much protein for the past few years. Possibly another reason to reduce the protein intake.....
Anyhow, I know you'll do what's best for you.
Take care
Ruth
