Good Morning Tuesday
Well yesterday I donated blood and did just peachy...no problems and I pushed liquids after- wards. The nurses who were working MI Blood said that those who donate lose one pound (at least for a little while...LOL)
Well I did my walk before I donated blood and ate beef. Iron was great and so was my blood pressure.
Pants are loose so I decided to weigh myself and I did weigh myself the day before. I was down 3 pounds...at least for a little!! LOL
Really I don't own a scale, my stepdaughter does. I hate scales, they are not my friend...giggles!
So today after work I'm going to check on my MIL at her new assisted living place. Go hug some elderly people I don't know and visit with mom and make her walk the hallways and meet new friends....I'll be working my "Debbie magic"!
Hubby is going 4 wheeling with his 2 buddies in Baldwin this weekend so I will have the whole house to myself...peace and quiet! Yiipppppeeeeee!!
I will be going to support group on Saturday so I will probably end up going to the Salvation Army after my meeting to find some good buys.
Good mornin' ya'll.
I am SOOO glad I took my DH to try on a Prius yesterday. It WAS too small for him. He has a metal cage in his neck, due to an accident at work about 15 years ago. It is hard for him to bend his head way down. He DID get in, but it wasn't easy. I drove about 5 miles and he didn't like the way it sounded (I didn't think it made any noise at all) and a few other things. I didn't like the limited view out the back window. So NO Prius for us. I told the salesman that the Prius would have to cook dinner to get me to give up my Buick that gets 30 MPG on the highway and is totally paid for, and running great!!
Another fantastic day on tap for NC. I LOVE it! Our oldest is nearly half way done with this deployment. It is flying by. For us anyway. Probably NOT for him.
My daughter called last night to say she may need me earlier next month. That's OK with me. She pays for the ticket (and any changes). Going there to babysit is like a vacation for me! Plus I love seeing the grands and our daughter and baking and cooking to fill her freezer. Also the mending and sewing on of Scout patches. Did I say vacation? But those are things I love to do, and miss now that we are so far away from them.
Have a fantabulous day!
I'm kind of sore after my fall on Sunday. I have a pretty hefty bruise on my left hand and scrapes on the left arm. Both knees are sore and bruised.
We are preparing to head to Illinois on Thursday. We will both wor****il noon then take off. My brothers, their wives and us will be spring cleaning Mom & Dad's house. We do a fall cleaning too. My brother who lives near them and his wife do clean regularly, so this will be deep cleaning.
Got my hair cut last night. I asked her about hair loss and what effect that would have on getting it colored. It's not due for color yet. She said that it wouldn't cause more hair loss, but the extra handling during the process of coloring might seem that way. Does anyone else know anything about this? I haven't started losing my hair yet, and I'm taking Biotin. But I hear that Biotin really doesn't do much for it, so we'll see.
Everyone have a great day.
