What's Up? Wednesday?
Wow! I hope I didn't miss the what's new Wednesday thread and am just thinking I started it!
Not much new here, raining, raining, raining.
Getting my usual OH, OFF fix in the am only this time I thought I'd jump in and say hi.
I'm heading to work in about 45 min so got to go jump in the shower soon.
We are doing Bloomsday again. Plan is to not drink so much coffee so I don't have to make so many potty breaks and end up in the last couple hundred finishers.
All is well, Tom is getting closer to his Doctorate and maybe I'm getting closer to being a stay at home mom with no kids...yeah sure, I can dream can't I?

Another quick fly by for me. I had an early doctors appointment this morning and just got home. I need to get back to my job as I am way behind now.
I will check back in a little later.

Hi Cheryl and one and all!
Wow, I have been really busy the last two days. My mother in-law called me at 7:14 yesterday morning and asked if I could drive both of them to two different docs. It took me an hour to get to their home. Had to take my father in-law about a half hour away. Waited for him. He got the staples out from his hip surgery.
Came back to my mother in-laws, ate a little lunch and off to take her for her back to a doctor an hour away. Spent over an hour and a half there. Drove another hour back to her house. Met my husband there and then drove another hour home..lol.. I was really drained when I came home.
They really need the help. I just don't know how we are going to handle all of this and take care of our own stuff. Between them and my sister, I am lucky I have time to brush my teeth.
Oh well, you do what you have to do. I always think God will think of me and send something
good my way. Good health would be fine for all of us.
Today made chili and laundry and cleaning up my house., We go back to my in-laws on Sat to clean their house and do grocery shopping for them!
Other than that I am doing pretty good,.
I hope everyone else is doing well too!

I envy you Bloomsday. I haven't done it in several years. Life has just gotten too crazy. Erin thought that I should walk it last year pushing 2 one yr olds up the hill in a twin stroller while she and Nathan ran it. . . I don't think I would have survived. Barely got myself up Doomsdday Hill on my own. I didn't stop and go to the bathroom. Lines were just way too long and like you I didn't want to waste the time. You all have fun. Is it this weekend or next? Hope the weather gets nicer. It's nasty down here too. Lots of wind, a bit of rain, not much nice. I love all of the entertainment along the way. I'll be thinking of you.

Just a quick drive by. I gotta go drink another bottle of that nasty, citrusy, chalky tasting gunk so I can go get a CT (CAT) scan, I'm not sure which.
Hope everyone enjoys their Wednesday. It's gonna be chilly here today. Only about 65. But up to 90 by Saturday. I can live with it.

HI Cheryl and all...
Well my house is in disarray.....they are putting in my new countertops today.....they did the "demo" work yesterday and my husband is trying to paint over the spots that got a little damaged and exposed yesterday......I have dishes all over the dining room table and even my good antique crystal is on the living room coffee table....the guest room has tons of tupperware, pots and pans, drawer contents.....and my stove is in the middle of the kitchen, ........ and I am doing dishes in the bathroom sink.........OY VAY!!
I am excited to have it done....my children are coming home this weekend as it is the MS Walk Weekend and there are over 90 people walking for Team Kathleen..my daughter. After the walk, Kathleen has a luncheon at local sports bar for everyone that participates for her. Her Godmother is buying shirts for everyone....my son designed them...they are really cool.
We are having a bithday party for my grandson on Sat.......at the YMCA....then Mass and then a barbeque at Kathleen's good friends home on 5 acres in the country....with a bonfire.....the kids love it out there.
So it will be a fun weekend.....once I get my house back in order.
Got to run, ...I am throwing myself on the mercy of my hairdresser.....seeing if she can fix the bangs I hacked off on my hair last night.....seemed like a good idea at the time....looks really stupid now.....it is evident I am not a hairdresser....but she has put up with me for over 25 years.

Hi Cheryl and my OFF family:
I'm so happy to be home at last, although I loved my vacation and the two weeks on the road. Now it's back to the reality of life. There's going to be lots of changes in the famiily this year.
My brother Gary is going to have to move out of his apartment because his house was sold and the new owner is a jerk. The plan is to move back in with Mom. She resisted for a long time, but she finally decided she wanted him there, and we're all very happy about that. It helps her, it helps Gary, because he doesn't have to pay rent.
My nephew Chris and his wife, Jill, are moving back to Dallas the first weekend in May (not this weekend). Chris has a new job and Jill is pregnant with their first child.
And then there's me; I have a chance at a new job in Louisiana. Or I'm going to get disability. Don't know which yet.
No big plans for today. I do have to run out to the bank to deposit a couple of checks, then go to PetsMart for cat food. I hope also to get to the chiropractor because my back has been bothering me. Then it's basically a day at home for laundry and relaxing. I have two weeks of laundry to do. I also have a house showing this evening, so I want to pick up the junk around the house. Not that there's that much, but I have been unpacking, so I have to get the rest of the stuff put away.

Went for a walk at 7:30pm last night when I got home.
Bought a new washer, ours finally died. New arrival will be on Monday. Hope I have enough under-ware to hold out til Monday! LOL
Going for a walk today at 12:10, will do 3 miles.
Joining the church choir and worship singing group tonight, it will be my first practice...I'll be meeting new friends! Wwhhhoooooooooooo!

The sun is shining so hopefully it won't be too cold for my walk but we walk fast anyway.
Saturday is our group support meeting at 1pm. We have a great bunch of people and it's nice meeting with them monthly.
