Good morning one and all.
Not much happening here. I have a new appointment with the Nutritionist for my MedGem test and consult. It won't be until the 18th, and I hate waiting. At least my weight has stabilized at 135 for about the last month. So....maybe this is where I'm supposed to be. We'll see what she says.

I'm sure you've seen me post on my menus the breakfast burritos that I have quite a bit. Here's how I make them. I cook the meat mixture once a week, then just put it together in a jiffy in the mornings.

1 lb bulk turkey breakfast sausage
1 tbs dried onion flakes
1 4 oz diced green chiles (optional, but oh, so good)

1/4 c Eggbeaters, Southwest flavor
1 High fiber, whole wheat tortilla

Cook sausage, onions and chiles(if using) in med skillet, breaking up as it browns. Drain liquid and put into covered bowl for the week.
To make burrito, heat 2 tbs meat mixture and then add eggbeaters to skillet, cooking unitl done. Roll into preheated tortilla and enjoy!

Yesterday's menu:

1 blueberry pancake, 2 slices thin bacon, 3 strawberries

1/2 Sonic grilled chicken wrap

2 pcs string cheese, 8 All Bran crackers

roasted chicken thighs and sweet potato, peas & corn

SF, FF  pudding snack

1/2 orange

various lattes and protein coffee. 80 oz water and all supplements

cals? 1274  fat: 43  carbs: 130   fiber: 7  protein: 95

Good Morning!

Todays menu:

B- Oatmeal
S- Whey Protein w/ fiber, 1/2 apple
L- not sure yet will have to come back and fill this in
S- 1/2 banana w/ banana on a lite wasa cracker, coffee,
S- more protein (maybe...depends on what I have for lunch)
D- Not sure...depends on what I have for lunch

Gotta run...on my way to an eye doctor appointment.
I think I might do like you and post my prior days food....easier than trying to figure out what I'm doing the rest of the day so early.

L- Tuna sandwich on 1/2 a pita pocket, salad and pickles]
D- will be left over chicken, bulgur wheat, zucc, plain yogurt

Ruth.....I think I need to revamp my eating. I do eat a lot of beef and cheese....easy protein. I think I need to switch to more fish and chicken.

I did make my chili with ground turkey yesterday...I actually like it better that way.

I never eat bread, pasta, or rice. I very seldom take a bite or two of potatoes.

I am very frustrated!!!

Hi Susan and everyone!

So far so good, yesterday I pretty much followd my diet with a few tiny exceptions!

Coffee
B- Protein drink/half of banana
S-
L-Half of slice of pork roast.  Had a little of a hard time with the meat.  Cauliflower and a small salad
S- Atkins food bar
D-  Slice of green pepper, green onion, cheese and a small piece of smoked sausage
S- Here is where I went off a little.  A small piece of chock and two or three Triscuts.

Believe this, My Mother in-law gave us a whole grocery bag of chocolate. All assorted.  I took some out for my husband for his lunch snack.  And all the rest went into a big bowl and I brought it into my sons bedroom for him and his girlfriend.  I told them, do not bring the bowl out until it is empty!

I lost five lbs. with all the box hauling at work.  WooHoo.
Same boring stuff:

B-Pure Protein Bar, Mixed Tropical fruit cup
L-Wendy's chili
S-Yogurt
D-Roast Chicken Thighs and Cole Slaw
S-Popcorn (100 calorie bag)

I've been bad about taking my calcium/vit. D.  I also need to up my water intake.  I'll work on it today.

Boy, I have a storage garage full of boxes. Maybe I'll go over there and cary them around the parking lot and then put them back. It would be worth it to me to lose 5 lbs....lol

Try taking your cal/D when you start drinking your water again after meals.

Drifting along.....thinking of jumping back in the water!!

I am very frustrated....over a week ago I lost 4 pounds since then nothing!! I have cut way back on my portions and doing more exercise....I don't get it!!

Honey. Really?  You're not going to lose weight now like you did right after surgery! Four pounds  at your weight is a lot to lose in a short time. How much more do you want to lose?

Sorry, no jumping back into the water unless it's to swim laps!  I won't go having a mutiny on my watch!

Hi Susan....I want to lose 15 more pounds.....having that broken hip and just now being able to really exercise was not a good thing for me.

Too much sitting around and grazing...that is the down side of having your office in your home!!

4 pounds in a month seems awfully slow to me. Guess it is better then gaining 4 !!!
