Hi Jeannie!!!

I was just thinking about you yesterday! And was hoping you were doing OK. I haven't been around much either but just due to my laziness. I keep thinking I will post more but then don't. Anyway, glad to see you and hear you are doing better.
I can't imagine how that must feel having to gain weight and being scared to at the same time. It's hard enough just maintaining anyway but having to do that with all you have been through...I'm sending you good thoughts and will swing a chicken a day till you are fine and dandy.
For the record, your posts were not Debbie Downers for me, I enjoyed them and cared about how you were doing. You were very considerate of the new people but don't think we don't want to hear from ya, Ya Hear?!!

Take Care,
Cheryl

Cheryl, thanks so much.  I am doing so much better.  For almost a year, I was literally starving to death and the food that I ate caused me so much pain that I would rather starve than feel that pain.  What really was the pitts was having the doctors think it was intentional starvation.  I kept saying, ugh, you did see my before pictures, right?  I mean, does that look like the body of someone who would intentionally starve. Comeon.  And finally, after tests and tests and more tests, they said, wait, there is something and that something turned into something drastic and when they did the surgery to finally fix me, the surgeon came out and told my husband that we were so lucky that the thing, meaning my pouch, didn't bleed out.  He said, that it had started spilling a little blood but would have eventually bled enough to kill me.  He didn't leave one piece of it or the part of the intestine that was attached.  The pathology report said that the outer part of the stomach segment had started to ulcerate as well.  So, the poor thing was getting eaten from in and outside. The surgeon said he thought it started from a herpes infection.  And once the ulcerations began, they just kept right on spreading.  Hopefully, my new pouch will do well and I won't ever have to face that crap again.  The downside to the surgery is this weight gain.  I man, it happens so easily.  I'm thnking of getting my jaws stapled. LOL

Don't be a stranger!  So glad to hear from you and that you are feeling so much better. I guess there is a very good reason that they don't get rid of our extra stomach area. It sure was put to good use for you. Take care Jeannie!
