Good dear-Lord-it's-too-early, morning!  Even the stupid rooster was still sleeping when we got up. It's going to be a loooooooooooong day!  I see extra coffee in my future, for sure.

Today's recipe is for a rather strange desert. Brownies made with black beans!  I have not made these, but I have had them and they are surprisingly good!  Dont' tell anyone the secret ingredient until after they've tried them.....let it be a surprise.

Yesterday's menu was pretty good. I won't post the various lattes and protein coffee, you all know I have them every day, so why repeat that?

bkfst burrito

crustless calzone

Greek yogurt w/ special K LF granola

baked egg roll, Asian noodle salad (made with Udon noodles)

SF pudding snack

Hope you all are smoothly sailing along!

Hi Susan and everyone!

The blackbean brownies sound great.  Will have to try them for sure.

Yesterday started out good....but.....

Coffee

B- Protein drink/ half of  a banana
S- Some cashews
L-  My daughter brought home the new tortado from Taco Bell.  The salsa one is great.  I thought it wouldn't be too bad.  Veggies and chicken and beans wrapped in a tortilla.

I could only eat half

S- nothing
D- the other half of the totado

S- food bar

I hope the tortado wasn't too bad.  Have to look on the web for info on it

Peace
Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Hi Mary,

Did you have a chance to look at the nutritional values for that thing? It really isn't that bad since you ate the whole thing over the course of two meals. Cals:  480  fat: 14  carb: 60  Protein: 30.  The bad news?  A whopping 1860 mg of sodium!!  Yikes!
I like the Fresco Crunchy taco @ 150 cals. The crunch is nice now and then!

Hi Susan,

I know it had a lot of sodium.  I usually am way low on the sodium daily.   I thought the 30 protein was good.  I mean I wouldn't eat one everyday.  BUT...I could..lol

I guess taco bell is not really that bad of a food choice.

Haven't tried the Fresco, maybe next time...

Peace
Mary

Actually, TB isn't too bad at all, especially since they introduced their Drive-through Diet menu. I don't do fast food often, but sometimes I just get caught out unprepared.
