Good morning, ya'll.

Can't believe it's 8:30 in NC and no one has been on here yet.  I got nuttin' goin' on today.  May finish up a pink baby set and then think about the matching blanket. May refresh my old mulch with new.  May take some stuff out to the shed that has been sitting here waiting to go.  May jus****ch TV, play on my 'puter, read a little and possibly fall asleep in my chair.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Good morning Grammylew and Marcy,

I started work early this morning, and I'm hoping to be finished early so I can get some much needed stuff done around here.  Hopefully, the sun will come out and dry up the deck so I can finish painting the patio doors and then tackle the gazebo.  Can't wait until this project is finished - lol - then I'm planning to spring clean, take down curtains, etc., etc.

A girl's work is never done -- the boys think we are having fun - lol - la la - anyone remember that old 50s song?

Have a great day everyone!

Debbie

good morning grrammylew and OFF family,

Yesterday flew for me...wish I had more hours in the day. I didn't get to go for my walk but will make plans today for sure!

Bill's funeral was beautiful, Karen they played our song...cried but was connected!
Katie his 16 yr. old granddaughter talked, she has an "old soul" so to speak.
Neighbor got up and talked then my turn. Had people laughing...Bill would have wanted that. I also talked about the family, how strong they were for Bill when he was here in the hospital. Bill served his country was very patriotic and was buried with full military honors. That always gets me, I jump when the guns go off. I cry when they fold our beautiful flag. Then I really lose it when our soldier knees down and gives the flag to Ronda the daughter and thanks her for his service to our country.

The reception at the Eagles truly was in Bill's honor. Toasts were made, healing began and people reminisced. All was well!!

Then on the drive home, hubby called and asked if I would like to make a trip back into town to see his mom in the hospital. Of course I did. Mom is doing much better, sitting up and her mind is much better but she will need to be discharged to assisted living. The family has picked out a good place and I told mom that was my first pick for her and dad to go to in the first place. Mom liked that response from me because she trusts me and I will always tell her the truth and she knows that.

One of my elder volunteers called me yesterday and wants me to come over to her house for dinner, she is making pot roast and also invited my hubby. We adopted her. She is 80 years young, plays the piano by heart and can sure "whale" on it. She use to even play at "honky tonks" but she could have been a concert pianist. She has a gift. She laughed and said if I came over she wouldn't have to eat pot roast 5 days in a row...she sure is sharp and I wanna be just like her when I grow up!! LOL

So I will miss my spin class at the gym today but I promise myself I will take a 3 mile walk today during break time.

Hugs to all of you- Debbie

Hi grammylew and everyone!

Nice t see you start the post today!  Sounds like a good day for you!

Ugh... what a last few days.  I told you my husband and I were not speaking.  Well, yesterday the nurse called with urgency about my husband.  He wore a heart monitor for 48 hours last week.  Seems he has arterial fillibration in his upper chambers.  He has to go there yesterday and start on medicine.  Coumadan and Toporl and simvistatin.  They said he was lucky he didn't have a heart attack or a blood clot causing him to have a stroke.  He has a lot of history of heart disease in his family.  He sees a cardiologist next Friday.  I feel bad that we were not speaking now.  What if something would have happened those days.  I hate to think of it.

I guess nothing is really important if you don't have your health.  He is taking it very well.  I am surprised he is.  All we can do now is pray everything will be OK.  Have to think positive.

He is afraid if his boss finds out that they won't  let him drive trucks anymore.  I hope that is not the case.

Nothing else new here.  Going to take a bubble bath and relax this morning and, try to catch up on some yard work and house work.

Haven;t walked in a few days.  Hoping to get that in too.

Ugh, dogs are pestering to eat.  I am a little late on doing that and believe it or not, they know it!

Everyone have a great day.

Peace
Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Good Morning!

I had a rough night last night but still managed to muster up the strength to do my walk.

Today my big and exciting plan is to wash windows.....the ones I can reach.....such fun.....ha-ha.

In the last couple of months every couple of weeks I break out with three little spots on my face (right cheek) and 2 by my left temple.  I'm trying to figure out if it is some how tied to food I eat, or something else ...it's weird...they come, stay a day or 2, go away and then come back in the same spot....I happen to have an appointment with the dermatologist on Monday so I'll ask.  Maybe it's a second puberty since I now feel like a teenager....LOL

Mosquitoes we out like crazy last evening...they chewed Matthew up pretty bad.

Hope you all have a great day.

Ruth, do the spots hurt? Do you feel any tingling or pain before they appear? Did you have chicken pox as a child?

Could be Herpes virus aka shingles. They will sometimes come and go in the same location.

Hi!
Nope no pain...they look just like pimples.....as if I was 16 again.
I have had chicken pox AND I had shingles on my back about 12 years ago (mildish case).

I suspect it's the sunblock I'm using.......I'm testing the theory....I have no spots today and I put on sunblock to walk this morning...I want to see if they come out again tonight/tomorrow.
