OT - my birthday
Happy Birthday, Sheri, and congrats on the great comment. My godchild, who is the daughter of my best friend, once asked me what happened to me, because she remembered that I was fat. Her mother is always very blunt and didn't correct her comment, and was glad she didn't, because it was a good teaching moment. So I told her about my surgery, how I had a new stomach so I ate less, but then her mom said that I was still the same person and you should never make fun of anyone because of their size.

What a great way to teach a child tolerance... your friend was great to do it that way.
My nephew is the same... I think it is great that my grands will never rememeber me as the fat nanny.
They will always see me as just a little overweight. I hope so anyway.
