What's New Tuesday Edition
I was going to suggest the same thing Laureen did. I still drink a shake in the morning and I'm 5 yrs post RNY. I like my chocolate Champion Pure Whey poured over crushed ice. Do I sound like a commercial? I could sell that tho I'm not much of a salesman. I've always liked this brand because it totally dissolves and isn't gritty. Now I put my calcium crystals in my morning shake so that's one less pill to swallow a day.

Good morning Cindy and my OH buddies,
These details we need to do for our parents at this stage of their lives can be so hard. Hope you're able to get it done without too much trouble.
I didn't sleep well last night, and woke up early with Gary. I had an iced protein coffee too late in the day, I guess. I had so much energy yesterday I didn't know what to do with it all! After doing 3 loads of laundry and straightening up around the house, I took off to the nursery, 2 beauty supplies, Garden Ridge and Wal-mart. Then, went to Barnes & Nobel to cash in on my gift card, sitting and drinking a latte while flipping through the three cookbooks trying to decide which ones to buy. Ended up with all three!
Back to the nursery to buy plants and a tree. When I got home I started on the fish tacos for dinner, baked a crustless calzone for us to have for bkfst/lunches this week. Then, after dinner, another 2 loads of wash, planted 2 flats of flowers and spread mulch onto the bed. Then....colored my hair, took a shower, freaked out because it's too red, said screw it, and finally sat down to look through my cookbooks. You'd think I would have slept like a rock, but NO.
Today looks like the same kind of day. I've already vacuumed and put dinner in the crock pot. Guess I'd better find something under the sink to tone down the red in my hair before I go to work. They'll tease me unmercifully. Don't know where this energy is coming from, but I'm not going to question it!!!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

That's it, Susan. After reading your post about yesterday, I'm officially exhausted!
I went to pick out frames for my new glasses this morning, and stopped at Home Depot and snatched up some pansies while I was nearby. They're already planted in two tubs near my side door, and may freeze despite their hardiness, but I had to have them. My neighbor already called and thanked me for putting them in. She DOES enjoy my gardens!
Then....THEN....I got a phone call from a guy who had contacted me via Plenty of Fish, and made a coffee date for tomorrow morning. Prolly gonna be just another "First (and only) Date", but he sounded nice, so we'll see.
One more week till I retire.
Be still my heart.

Good morning all. Still in N. Carolina. My sons return has been delayed 3 times this week. Hopefull he will be here Sat. The volcano has really put them behind. we are in his apt, just no furniture. All we have is a blow up mattress!! But at least no hotel bills. Today we will try to get some stuff out of the storage shed.
Not much else is new. When he comes home yu all will hear me yell from happiness!!!!! Have a great day all.

Hi Cindy and to everyone who comes and share.
Well. I am still not speaking to my husband. He doesn't want to talk to me so I return the favor.
I hid homemade cookies from him last night. Why should I give him any? lol Going to give them to my son and his girlfriend today.
My new car is wonderful. I just love it.
Today, I am going to lunch with my art teacher. I really don't want to . She is lonely after her husband died and wants to get out of the house. I do feel sorry for her.
Finished my painting last night. It really turned out nice. Two apples on a beautiful laced napkin. I did it in water colors. It is so vibrant. I do like working in watercolor. Also, pencil.
I wrote notes to my kids and HIM. I refuse to be their flunky any longer. Everyone has to chip in and do things for themselves and to the good of the house hold. I am tired of trying to do everything for everybody. No one does anything for me.
Well those are my crappy thoughts for the day..lol
I hope everyone has a better day then me..
Prayers to all...
Peace
