Howdy!  I'm hoping all is well with everyone today. I'm still waiting for the Nutritionist to call me about my appointment. The machine that tests your metobolic rate should be repaired and returned soon, so I'm hoping I can get this done in the next couple of weeks. Until then all I can do is keep on keeping on. Just like everyone else, right?

Today's recipe is for Horseradish Flank Steak. I LOVE horseradish, and plan on making this on my indoor grill, maybe Sunday after Gary gets back from Nashville. Kroger carries a cut of steak called Flat Iron Steak, that's usually around $5 a lb, and is very much like flank steak which is much more expensive. If you can find it, I encourage you to give it a try. We usually get 3 meals out of one steak!

Not a bad day yesterday. If I could stay away from the honey roasted almonds I'd be a lot better off, though!

We had a Nurse Practioner at our support meeting. She raved about Bison and several other people agreed. Has anybody eaten Bison?

It's sold here as buffalo, and as I understand it, it's very, very lean. Might give it a try in chili or something and see.

Annette....yes I have eaten Bison several times....I really like it...so lean and very tasty!!

B: 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 1/2 oz. cheese rolled up in a breakfast burrito...yummy!
S: orange
L: small bowl of chili...then run to Bill's funeral...after that going to the "reception lunch" for family. Will try to keep it under control, Okay I'm accountable and will practice mindful eating....
S: apple
Don't know if I'm working out today at the gym...if I do half of banana before and after workout.
D: steak and veggies
S: pickles and maybe wrap some turkey around it...

Hi Susan!!

Today.......

B- 1 egg, diced veg, toast, almond butter
S- protein and 1/2 apple
L- going out for lunch to our favorite buffet place......will have something like Salmon, brocc, maybe a clear soup, salad, 1 almond cookies, 2 Tbls ice cream (well rounded spoons)
S- coffee, fruit
D- cottage cheese and yogurt (or protein and yogurt)

Gotta go....takes me a while to get dressed these days so gotta get started.........

My day got all messed up..........we did not go out for lunch so  I had Meat Pie and salad for lunch.

Good morning Susan.....here goes....hanging in there!!

B-High Protein Drink
L-Turkey and cheese roll-ups (all I had time to grab on the run)
D-chili w/cheese

Snack...turkey bites (like beef stick) and string cheese

I worked 9 hours at my job yesterday...no time for  breaks...I fell into bed last night!!!
