I plan to get back on track with my morning walks.  I bit the dust, and bought some of those Sketcher Toners, and I can't wait to start walking with them.  I want to get very pro-active in my morning walking routine; besides I need to get BOT with my exercise program, I have a procedure scheduled in July that I want to loose a few more pounds so that the outcome will look better.  Please pray for me!  I have 2 1/2 months to get this done.  I know that I can do it.  I've started to make some dietary changes to help me accomplish what I need to get done.  I've got to get off of the simple carbs, and add more complex carbs.  I also must increase my protein intake through the suppliments, i.e. drinks.  I know that I can do this, and any encouragement that I can get would be great!!!  :)

Love my OH family!

Be blessed,
Rose

You can do it!  Take it one day at a time!  I do am building back my strength and endurance with my morning walks..........this post-op recovery stuff knocks the stuffin' out of me sometimes.

Protein is very good pre and post op.....builds and repairs the body.

Found a few muscles you forgot you had, huh...
I'd be hurting too!  Pretty awesome that you went every day on the weekend.....I normally take at least Sat or Sun as my "free day".

Worked today and then went straight to the gym. Did 4 miles in about an hour 10 minutes.  The weight loss program on the treadmill took me  to a 10% incline at 3.2 mph. That's really uphill for me, but it felt good (when I was finished that is!) Nice surprise when I got home. . . my son Nathan is a teacher in Seattle and he showed up for a couple  of days on spring break. Love having my baby around. He turned 29 a week ago. So we're having a salad, wild rice and baby back ribs, his favorite. . . and one of mine!

Today (Monday) I did three hours of water-jogging and twenty minutes in the hot tub.  I also did errands but always parked at the far end of the parking lot to get in a bit of walking as well.

I finally got off my butt and walked 3 miles in the evening after work.  I decided to see what it would be like and walked some, jogged some.  It was amazing, I could actually do it!  I must admit it sure made me feel good the rest of the evening.  Going to do it again today.  Not quite 2 yrs ago, I could not walk to the end of our long driveway and back.  Life is good.
