Finally in Williamsburg
We're in Virginia. Made it to Williamsburg about 5:30 p.m. today. We left the Hershey resort about 10 a.m. and went to Chocolate World, did the tour, then toured the gift shops. The day was windy and chilly and looked like rain, so we skipped the trolley ride and headed down to Williamsburg.
After checking into the resort and getting everything up to our room (and it's funny, because when I went to Williamsburg in 2001, I stayed at the Best Western Patrick Henry ... well, this place is now called the Patrick Henry Inn by Bluegreen and yes, it's the same place, only upgraded to be suites for long-stay guests). Very nice. We had a coupon for a dinner for two at this restaurant that included soup or salad, entree and dessert, so we had that ... it was so good. We are both stuffed. I brought half my steak home. Otherwise, we haven't done any touring or shopping yet. The resort is offering a wine tasting on Thursday and chocolate tasting on Friday, so we're going to do that.
Gary is a real trooper doing all the driving ... his new car is very nice, even if it is a Ford (Fusion) ... I had a Ford Escort (lemon) and will never buy another Ford (fix or repair daily), but this is really nice. Even if my knee does hurt from being down all day, at least I didn't have to drive.
Lots to do tomorrow morning. More tomorrow.
