Good morning to you and all you other slug-a-beds! Actually, I woke up constantly so about 5 I decided to get up and do something then nap later. I forgot this was Saturday till you mentioned it. Is it age? Probably just my normal state of confusion.

We don't have particular plans for the weekend, just continue trying to get the house and garden in shape before surgery.

My eldest daughter and 2 of her children have birthdays coming up so I need to shop. My daughter announced that she wants one of my carrot cakes this year. I told her that her chances are slim to none. She claims she will be 41, but that isn't true. It would have made me 2 years old when I had her so she must not remember correctly. Some people.

Have a great weekend all of you OH friends!

Morning Cindy and all to follow,

I've been up since about 5:15, but I do all my other computer stuff before hanging out here. You know, check the Facebook pages, bank account, Recipezaar.com, weather info, just junk. That way I can enjoy seeing what's happening here without all that other stuff on my mind.

Last night we went to a bar/restaurant where my son's band was playing. Thank God his band was the 2nd to perform, as I don't think my head/ears/heart could take anymore.  If the singer screams and growls into the mic, is that considered singing? NOT. Oh well, Jeff was very, very happy we went, so it was worth it. We were the oldest in the room by quite a few years. Nice! What we do for our kids, huh?

Working today and going out to dinner tonight. I told Gary I've worked hard this last three weeks and I deserve it. So there! Not like he has any problem with it. Gee, I make it sound like I have to ask permission for us to go out. Not the case at all.

Okay, enough rambling. Time to go see what everyone is eating. Have a good day!

I got up so early --- then I went out in the living room and turned on the TV to watch some of my recorded programs and promptly fell asleep.  WHY can I sleep so well in my recliner and not in my bed?  Ha!  I know I am not alone in this.

Today, we are going to my mom's apartment in the assisted living facility and begin the process of sorting/cleaning out.  She will not be returning there.  We have a meeting this next week with the rehab staff and the state social services person to see what they recommend for future care.  All I know for sure at this point is that her apartment has to be empty by April 30.

Tomorrow, we will take Ron's mom out to breakfast and shopping and then go to work in my mom's apartment again.

Susandoeshair:  Boy.  Scary stuff about your email issue.  I am so computer illiterate that  I guess I don't even understand HOW someone could get in your email box and send messages to all those in your address book.  Seems really complicated.  Hope they catch the person(s) who did it.

Eileen:  Hope your vacation is a really great time for you and your brother.

Hope that everyone has a good weekend.  Take care.

Good Morning!

I got up early this morning did a bunch of chores (swept floor, mopped floors, cleaned 3 bathrooms, did 1 load of laundry, cooked breakfast).....felt sort of energetic so I took advantage of it.  Now I'm a little tired so I'm taking a little break.

I like getting up early....it's my quiet time.  This morning was really nice...I got to watch the Bluejays playing in the bushes...they were dancing all over.  I love the sound of birds singing.  In my last house in NY I had an acre with lots of gardens and lots of bird feeders and bird baths....all day I'd have such beautiful birds stopping by.....gave me many hours of pleasure to sit in the sunroom and watch/listen to them.  ahhhhhh memories.....

Well I'm going to do some reading now, I have a couple of books due back to the library on Monday so I think I'll curl up with a book for an hour or so.

Hope you all have a great weekend........

i was up early but got involved with the computer and the gym and stuff.

then i came home did a few things and napped, boy did that nap feel good.

i also sleep better on the couch which reclines, then in bed, oh well, so be it.

im going to see a movie tonight, something i have not done in a long long time with
a man i had dinner with last week.  we shall see how that goes.  i had the girls at work
hysterical on friday.  i told them i hope this 70 yr old man does not get touchy feely in the
movie.  they all thought that was funny.  oh well, going out again after so many years is
a strange thing, trust me on that.  i know many of you have been in the same situation.

anyway, hope everyone is doing well, hugs to all in need.

well...it IS still saturday for at least another hour! so!

this morning, mom came down with some muffins, i made fresh coffee- we were both in our flannel nities and comfy even tho it was 10 am--OMG! we had to both be somewhere (1/2 hour away) by noon--ok-so! we made it!had ordered trees from the conservation folks and yesterday and today were pick up....waited another half hour and scored! at noon, all of the unsolds were marked down to $5.00 per bundle- so we got $178.50 in trees and bushes for $35 ! tedium will be in planting!

i'm heading to bed any minute-brody has had me up the last few nites at 3 am
so i feel the neeed to be prepared. used to be if he had to potty late nite he would just DO IT! ucka--last nite he was whimpering-which is quite unusual .... i figure it may take a few more nites to get him back to sleeping thru...what we do for our kids!!!

had a wonderful phone conversation with my brother doug today-didn't talk about anything special- just that we talked! and it felt natural!!! can't wait to meet him in a few months!!!!

while mom and i were out today, we killed the rest of the day -shopping-laughed and giggled..at big lots i scored! has anyone ever seen Henn pottery? Henn is an Ohio family company that makes baskets like Longabergers (also Ohio made) and Henn sells pottery- i think they took over the Roseville works. anyhow- our local big lots has Henn stuff-in the colors i have - at $5.00 per piece---------i got a 75 bowl for 5 bucks!!!a huge roast pan for 5 bucks! you get the picture!

bought some shoes for work...comfy loafer type --and a fan for our bedroom ceiling.....and started gathering gifties for grand amber's bday next month-big 13!

(there was a pet a thon type thing at the tractor supply next door and the pets looked COLD!!)

michael spent the day vegging-he is really destroying his body working on the strawberry beds that he and mom planned.

hope it is a bit warmer tomorrow...
hugs and prayers.....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Margo, Sure sounds like wonderful quality time with your mom. Those are some of my favorite memories of my mom. We loved to go to thrift stores, spend time working in her yard, just putz around. You mention Doug. Is he a brother you haven't met? Do you have different fathers? Just curious. Hope you don't mind sharing some details. You know how intersted I am in family history. If I had been adopted I know I'd dig and dig all the way to China if I had to to find out my background!
