Good Morning All!
Can't believe it's 8 a.m. and no one started the thread yet!
I'm off to the doctor's for a check up on the staples that I got on Wednesday night courtesy of Roxie girl. Also have to address the scourge of posion that is making me feel just awful, not to mention how I look. My eyes are so swollen and there are new outbreaks of this. . . only relief I get is when I am soaking in the tub and I can't live my life there. . .
Oh well, enough *****ing, life is what it is and I will eventually get through this phase of things. . . I'll check back when I get to work, if I have a chance, otherwise later. . .
So let's hear what all you are up to this day!

Hey Laureen, so sorry I missed the Roxie incident! What on earth happened that you needed to be stapled shut? And wow....when are you ever going to get relief from the poison ivy? Poor girl, hope it's soon!
I hesitate to post the news about my internet issues. It's rather embarrassing, but that's okay, I've done worse!
A few weeks ago I received a "special offer" from Starbuck's for auto delivery on the espresso pods I use, and when you signed up, you could get this great coffee pot for $25. Well, they had a similar offer about 8 months ago for a great French press, which I took advantage of, and then canceled the auto ship.
When I tried to order the coffee pot with my pods the system wouldn't let me do it. So, thinking I goofed up somewhere, I tried again, then after realizing the situation,that since I had already taken advantage of one offer already, I abandoned the transaction without putting in any payment info. The total was $47.59.
Last night I got notification from Starbuck.com that my order had been shipped. The
went on as soon as I saw the total. Who knew (including Starbuck's themselves, apparently) that these things are shipped from Marina del Rey CA??? Folks, this is one of the most expensive areas of real estate in the country, and Buck's has a warehouse there? Go figure!!! So, bottom line, they used the payment info that was on my account.
Yes, as soon as they open they're getting a call. I spent a horrible day worried about identity theft,changed my debit card, and spent hours on the phone with Starbuck's fraud division, the Marina del Rey police, etc.
I have no doubt that Buck's will make this right. They're that kind of company. If they don't, there will be hell to pay, believe me!

I'm so sorry to hear about your horrible two days. The internet stuff can really trip a person up. I've had double shipments of stuff several times, when I got impatient with the process and hit the "enter" button more than once.
The good news is that there was no identity theft.
Maybe $$$Bucks will send you something really, really nice......

Certainly glad you were able to get to the bottom of things, even if you got quite a bit of extra work sorting through it all. . . Computers and cyberspace, they make life easier in many ways, but like everything else there is always a possible downside. . .

Good morning Laurene & all. Well we leave tomorrow for N. Carolina. I am hoping the Volcanic ash & smoke doesn't delay my sons homecoming. I think he will be ok.
Today I finish packing & loading the truck. My son called yesterday & he is all packed too.

Laureen - I sure hope you get some relief.
I'm doing laundry and getting things together for my weekend away. I took the day off work today, and my sister and I are leaving at around noon. I'm so excited to reconnect with good friends, spend time right by the mighty Mississippi River (cottage overlooks it) and just relaxing. I hated saying goodbye to Michael, as he left for dialysis, we are rarely apart for a night.

Thought it was going to rain today, and it looks gorgeous. Our deck is all stained, and ready for everything to be put back. Hopefully, the sun will fully dry everything today...it looks so nice, I can't wait to get the canopy on and the wicker furniture placed.
I feel like I have so much to do and yet so little time for things. I'm going to get done what I can and the rest can be there waiting - lol - sounds easier than it is - lol

Good Friday morning to all. Oh, today is suppose to be nice as far as the weather. Going to take a walk and probable work in the yard.

Susan, sorry about the Starbucks fiasco.
One thing I would like to tell you is that the Prosecuter attorney wants to give my nephew 10- 15 years. They met with the prosecuter and the defending attorney. The wife backed down from saying she didn't want to file any charges to saying Ryan should do 1- 3 years. The attorney has to come up with a plea bargain. This is begining to sound like a novel. If I wrote everything and published the book, no one would believe me that is all true.
The reason the aunt changed her mind was that she has been living with her brother, leaving her house alone. My x- brother in law stated he took some guy over there to look at things the aunt might want to sell. Guess what? The garage was broken into an a lot of stuff stolen. She blames my x-brother in law for stealing the stuff. She had no plans of selling her husbands things. This is also another mess. Even his kids believe he stole the stuff. And, they are sure there was no other guy who went with him.
I am sure my sister is going to go over the edge soon. Oh well...
My car is on the bum. It is old and needs too much work. I don't want to invest any more money into it. Going to see if I can trade it in for something. Hopefully, I can and get a good deal.
Funny thing happend with my avon order. This lady ordered a few things. I thought I ordered the lipstick. Guess what? I opened it and used it thinking it was what i ordered! I have no clue how that happend. The lady called me and said she was missing the lipstick with her order. Then it dawned on me...lol... Oh well.. I told her I would order her one again. It must have got ommited from the order. I hated to lie to her, but honestly I couldn't tell her I made the stupid mistake.
Ain't life grand?
Well I hope everyone has a great day. It is suppose to rain here starting tomorrow and I am going to get some yard work done today.

Nic (grandson) got fitted for his tux for prom....Jamie sent me a pic of his fitting....he is so handsome!! I think I am almost as excited for his prom as he is...LOL!!
