Good Morning!

WAHOOOOOO.......I feel like I'm back in the world of the living..........I walked this morning!!!!!
Ok, it wasn't a long walk and I went slow but I did it and I feel good.  I made the decision to only go 15 mins.  Tomorrow I'll do 20 and Saturday 30. 
It felt so good to get the heart rate up...just a little...not going full throttle...but it felt SO GOOD! 

Only downside....I can already feel legs swelling a bit so after breakfast I'll be back to laying down and elevating the legs.  Post-Op is not fun.

I'm so happy that I did this and will work on building up the pace and distance.

How about you folks.....anybody walking, running, pumping iron, swimming, etc etc????

You are doing the right thing, taking it slow and now elevating your legs. What a feeling of accomplishment for you!

I'll be walking 3 miles today around the hospital at lunch/break time.

I'm sure I'll be playing at the park tonight at the Tea Party Rally with granddaughter Rozzie...or walking around the park with people. Don't you just love walking?

Rest that body of yours and maybe take another walk later in the evening. Because it's your second walk of the day maybe just do 10 minutes...then elevate the legs again.

Good idea about a second walk this evening but I'm going to skip doing that because I'm going to take a shower this evening.  It's so much work and so exhausting I'm only showering every other day (sorry if that's TMI) and I know I won't have the energy to do both.  But tomorrow is another day and I'll get back on the walking trail.....  :-)

Good for you. Yep, you will be tired after you shower. Takes a while to get your strength back. If your legs are still swollen tomorrow only do a 10 minute walk in the AM, then another 10 minute walk in the PM. Never TMI here...we support you 100%!!
I'm jealous, just wish I had money for plastics and that is not gonna happen unless I win the lottery! LOL

I did 10 miles in 45 mins on the recumbent bike with a good book...   It's beginning to get too easy, so I'll either have to up the resistance some more, or figure out where I can eke out another 15 mins or so to round out the hour... lol

Me?  My exercise today will consist of running from pillar to post trying to put out this identity theft issue. Figure I'll get in a mile or 6 by the time I'm done.

 I had a friend in the Seattle area who had the same thing happen lastweek  with her yahoo account. Her computer guru told her to tighten up her password with a combination of letters symbols and numbers so that it isn't easy to figure out. How the heck did he/she use a phony debit card???? Scarey stuff.

 I think you can count your heart rate yesterday and today as aerobic! I'm sure mine would have been. Hope they nail the bugger! We could get a group of OFFers together and track him down. Julia, Jan S and Darlene could come at him/her from all directions. What a team they'd be!

Way to go Ruth! Now give yourself a pat on the back, a hug and get those legs elevated! You've done enough for the day. I'm working today at an elementary school and then going to the gym. Have some pork ribs in foil ready for Mike to put in the oven for a slow bake in the early afternoon. I love it when I'm organized! I think I'm more organized when I am working. . . Wonder why?
