Exercise - Let's get moving......Tuesday

Good Day!
My workout for today was taking a shower......let me tell you by the time I take off all the bandages, and all the compression garments ( 2 arm sleeves, bra, full body compression garment and a pair of compression hose), then take a shower, apply polysporin to all the new incisions, apply scar cream to the older ones (the TT and LBL scars), then put all the bandages and all the garments back on I feel more tired than I do after walking for 3 miles!!!!!!  I needed a nap 

Anyone else doing any type of workout today?

Oh Ruth, hugs to you. When you heal and all the swelling goes down it will be worth it!

The weather got cold today but I went outside on break and walked a mile. That won't be enough for me so I'll work out at home later.
I will be at the gym today but volunteering instead of doing a work out.
Then it's on to see MIL and her sister.
I'll work on free weights when I get home and maybe take another walk.

You keep taking naps and resting, rest heals the body.

Had a big, long break between clients today so I went for a walk. 2 MILES!!

today I subbed as an aide at the juvenile justice center for 3 hrs. Then had a massage at 1pm, changed and went to the gym and got my 4 miles in on the treadmill cross country program and the eliptical variety program. Definitely have to get yet another shower before going to our homeowner's meeting in an hour!

This is medical massage on my arthritic neck and shoulder. . . .but it still feels pretty darn good.

Hey Ruth and all you body building women :) 
Did my ususal 30 on eliptical crosstrainer and then 30  on with machines...
You know what though, even though I was hot and sweaty I wasnt even breathing hard..  Does that happen to any of you ??
I am wonderfing if maybe I am not doing enough??  Thing is , I dont have 2 hours a day to fit it in.  I dedicate one hour mainly each day and that is all i can find time to do ..Do any of you feel like your life is nothing but eat little , exercise , exercise ...
Dont get me wrong I love my exercise but wonder if it gets to a point where you have to keep doing more and more...

Ruth glad your healing up,,,Dont exercise to soon as I have been known to do,,,,,messes up all those pretty stitches :)

Hi Shirley,
An hour a day is TERRIFIC!!!!  I can't say I love exercise but I am missing it since I have not been able to do anything for a few weeks.
I really, really, really want to get on my bike and ride......that is one thing I really enjoy but instead I will just do a good walk in the morning.  I won't over do......I don't want to ruin my good results.  :-)
