Good morning Carla and OFF family,

the sun is shining here in Michigan and it's beautiful outside! Wwwhhhoooo

Busy week here, going to see Prairie Home Companion at Miller Auditorium Wed night. Singing the National Anthem at the Tea Party in Allegan Thursday night.
Oops..Tuesday going to volunteer checking in the kids for their new swim classes at the gym then on to MIL's house to check on her and make sure she eats supper and takes her meds.

Saturday I will be helping out at our Bariatric Reunion Party thrown by our hospital in appreciation of our patients that used Borgess Hospital for their surgery. I'll be teaching line dancing at the end of the program cuz Dr. Verseman's program stresses exercise and the RN Bariatric Coordinator wanted me to get people moving! I love Rebecca our Bariatric Coordinator, she is a go getter for sure.

Hugs to all in need! -Debbie

Hi Carla, Everyone!

Just wanted to drop a quick note to say hey, had a busy weekend with a baby shower thrown in for good measure, but still managed to do yardwork, yesterday, we cleared a good patch for what will be mine and my housemate's vegetable garden.  We worked the land all day and even played with Roxie in the midst of it all, she so loves the garden hose, it is such a difference from dear Dillinger, who I could get in the house in a heartbeat by just raising the hose as if I were going to use it (lol). . .  posion ivy is still driving me a bit nuts, I feel like it is never going away. . .  truly a scourge on mankind. . .

Oh well back to work, hope you all have a lovely day and sending out prayers and for peace and strength for any of you dealing with serious life challenges.

Hugs, Laureen

Hi Carla and everyone,

I am a little late in posting, have been busy around the house and lost track of time.  Sounds like all of you are pretty busy.
Getting ready to do my morning walk.  I wait until it warms up. It is chilly yet here in the mornings.

Got a phone call in the middle of writing this and I lost track of what I wanted to say.  Maybe it will hit me later..

Hope everyone has a great day.  Lots of thoughts and prayers your way

Peace
Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Hi Carla and my OFF family:

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I finally got online today, finding a public network at my mom's home (I thought about going to a Starbucks but don't feeling like going that far ... not that it's real far, but not in the mood to go out).

We had a nice time at my grandnephews' birthday party yesterday. It was too cool to sit outside but my niece and her hubby had a nice meal (they don't do a lot of cooking, but had a Caesar salad and Italian beef sandwiches). Plus, my sister-in-law Margaret made the boys' cakes ... they were gorgeous ... she decorated them, too. She's so talented. Lots of presents for the boys, and every one of them was "just what I wanted" for Sam ... he's such a card!

And, of course, I got birthday wishes and cards and presents (cash) ... my brother Gary is going to buy me something while I'm on vacation. The long trip out there (an hour out, an hour back) plus sitting with my leg down all day and then sleeping on the Aerobed left me in pain, of course (I added more air to the bed last night).

Not much going on today. Probably watching some baseball, although Mom wants to watch "Dancing with the Stars" tonight so I'll miss the Sox game, or at least some of it.

Anyway, so far, the trip has been stress-free ... and, oh, Mom has changed her mind about Gary moving in with her ... now she wants him too. We're all happy about that, of course. She's afraid she'll fall like her neighbor did and nobody would be there to help.

Well, I'll check back tomorrow. Have a good day.
