Good morning to all!

I'm having a busy work day, too. Yesterday I had a job interview, for a possible supplimental job to this one, making it a full time job.  We'll see.  I love the idea of full checks (plus it's a promotion), but just not sure I want to work this hard!!!  Oh, well.  It's only for another 6-8 years, at the most. LOL

Last night Michael and I went to hear a speaker on WLS - she is a former bariatric nurse who has a Roux-en Y several years ago - great humor and good message about continuing success.

It's pretty cool here today, but it's supposed to warm up this weekend.  I sure hope so!

Have a good day!

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY!  Working on the next 25.  Then I'll tackle more...

Hi Grammylew:

I'm getting on here later than usual today. I was up early enough (the cats won't let me sleep too late ... they want their food!), but I was out the door at 9:45 a.m. to get my hair cut and colored. It wasn't really long in the back, but it was on the sides, and the top was shaggy and the bangs needed trimming. Plus, the color was wearing out. The last time I got it done was right before I learned I was getting laid off.

I love my stylist ... she does such a good job. I wish I could give her a better tip, but she understands. I told her about the layoff. She told me her sister is having WLS sometime soon. I was her only client for most of the morning, until this little old Dutch woman came in just about when I getting my hair cut.  Times are really slow in the hair business, I guess.

We are not having spring weather here at all. I went out this morning in my raincoat and had to come back in to get my winter coat, it was so cold out. It's only 41 degrees today, plus snow is predicted. Brrrr! Had to turn the furnace back on.

After the hair appointment, I ran to the grocery store for a few things (mostly from the department store part of the store ... Meijer is like Walmart but better) ... socks and undies on sale, needed batteries for my camera in case mine run low on vacation. Then got cat supplies for when I'm gone so my cat sitter has plenty to take care of my furbabies. Tomorrow, I have to take the car back to Honda because the key is sticking in the lock again ... now sometimes the key stays in the lock after the door is open. I had this fixed back in February; now it doesn't work again.

Grammy, I don't wear dresses so I don't wear slips. I have such ugly knees and I've always hated dresses. When I get dressed up, I just look for a nice pantsuit. Sorry can't help you with a slip.

Well, have a good day.

Hi Grammylew and everyone else that is reading this,
I want to thank all of you who have taken the time to express your condolences about my Darla. I put a picture of her on my OH site if you are curious. I am missing her so much... but I am going on... I can tell that I am emotionally on an even keel because my grief is not incapacitating me at all. I dreaded her death so much- but I worried too much. She is still here, I see her clearly and talk to her every day. I have a little bottle of her fur (the euthanizing vet gave it to me) - I touch it a few times a day and it comforts me somehow. When she gave it to me I thought it was kind of weird but no- it has not been weird.

As far as the slip goes- I think the suggestions you've gotten are good. The problem I have (with all clothes) is that the weight loss has made lots of bulges that irritate me. That bulge above the waistline is especially irritating. I try to find high waisted pants to cover it. I know that they have slips that hold you in tightly- those are usually at TJ Maxx and Ross. To get a smooth line it needs to have a connected bra. (What I really need is a complete body lift- and more- but I doubt that I'll do it).

I'm off to the dog park with my grand dog Sookie. I'm off this week. It's a beautiful day- 74 degrees and sunny. Thanks again everyone.
