Good mornin', ya'll.

I can't believe I'm first this morning!  I've done all my morning 'stuff', including watching last night's DVR of Lost, and I'm still the first.

Everyone must be out enjoying the Spring weather!

Today I need to go find a slip.  Do they even make/sell those anymore?  It's been a long time since I wore a dress that needs one.  But the dress I want to wear to our grandson's wedding is gonna need a slip, or I'll be getting a LOT of looks!  It's my favorite dress from the last time I was this size (about 25 years ago).  It's the only piece of clothing I kept from then.  I haven't gotten my daughter or DIL's approval on it yet.  They are my fashionista  experts.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Hi Grammylew!

Good to see you start us off today.  I hope you are feeling well. I know you have gone through a lot.

Wow, today I think I have nothing hanging over my head to do.  No taking my sister to docx today. However tomorrow I do.

With all this running around for her, one of my engine lights came on.  Now I am worried about that.  Don't have any money for repairs.  Great!

I saved some slips, though I think they are too big for me now.  You are right.  I don't think I have seen them in the store anymore.  Weird.  Have no clue where to buy one.  Maybe Victoria Secret!

Delivered about 90 avon books.  I pass them out around this small town. My husband drives and we put them in their daily news paper boxes.  It is illegal to put anything into peoples mail box.  Sooo..... I stay away from them.

Depression has set in once again for me. I just don't feel like doing anything.  I do push myself to walk each morning.  That makes me feel good.  Although., with my ocd, with every step I count  1-2-3-4  lol.. I can't think of anything else.  I try but go back to counting.  I am on medication for it, but I don't think it helps...lol

Well. Off to walk and count..

Peace
Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Hi Mary,
Wow you sure have a lot on your plate!  I wanted to post you because I have this chronic depression stuff going on and it can be really debilitating.  I'm glad you're making yourself go for a walk.  It really does help you feel better.  I have to really push myself hard when I'm down and I do it only because I know it'll help.  (((hugs)))  And it's real important right now to take care of you.

Good morning Grammylew and OFF family,
For a slip, check out Salvation Army or Goodwill. They have lots of them.

It's cold and rainy here in Michigan. We might even get a little snow but I'm hoping not!
Went to spin class last night after work. Great workout.
Came home and hubby had a small salad and a steak waiting for me. So I ate it cuz I was starving after spin class. Didn't finish my steak but did eat most of eat. I did have 500 calories to play with so it was all good.

Then we took off and put out our Patriot Tea Party Rally signs for Tax Day. Now that job is done.

You all have a great day. Hugs - Debbie

Good morning Grammylew and everyone.....

Grammylew.....nice to see you start the thread this morning!!
I agree a used clothing store may be the best place to find a slip these days.

My cleaning fairy comes today....such a sweetheart she is. I was worried when I had to find a new one but she is just awesome.....I am so lucky to have her!!

Time to get in the shower before I start my work day.
Prayers to all in need...a few special ones to some.

When I first saw your comment about finding a slip, I thought you meant for your lapband and I thought. "Is she NUTS?!"  lol

I think slips are going out of style.  The young women just don't wear them, no matter how sheer the dress is.  Us oldies, need some cover up.  I did see some a few weeks ago at Target.  They were all half slips.

If your dress is 25 years old, it just may be back in style.  Just make sure the fabric hasn't started to rot and it falls apart on you while at the wedding.  You don't want to steal the show!

Have a great day.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Well Wanda, I will admit to being nuts.  But no, I don't want a band slip.

I have tried the dress on and it seems sturdy.  I sent it to the dry cleaners, so we will see if it survives that.  You are right, the younger generation doesn't wear slips.

I will look at Target. I only need a half slip.  The top is lined.  Go figure!

Thanks for everyone's suggestions.

Good morning Grammylew and everyone!

Well, I admit that I am one who's been off enjoying the spring weather, lol.  Also, I've been "sleeping in" all week because it's spring break.  I'm getting up a couple of hours later and then I don't usually get to the computer until much later...usually not until I've been out and about a while.  Sometimes I thought to come and post in the daily thread but it was so late in the day it was nearly tomorrow anyhow, lol.

They'd better still make slips or I'm not wearin no stinkin dresses no more!!!  I need a new one too, just haven't been motivated to go IN any places.

We wanted to spend a couple of hours at the shore, maybe today--it's still so very warm and gorgeous outside!

Have a wonderful day, all!

Good morning Grammy and the rest of you all!

Hope the experts like the dress you chose. . .

I am here at work, seems like I am a leper, as I was told not to take it personally, but that the girls don't want me sitting at the front desk relieving the receptionist, as they don't want to catch my poison whatever it is, I kind of feel bad, but I came in today because (a) I have no oozing going on and (b) I cannot afford to stay home, as being I have been on the job less than a year, I only had a minimal amount of time off and Tuesday was the last of it, so yesterday was without pay, that along with having to pay deductible is going to hurt my budget for sure.  Oh well, I guess I can understand how they feel.

Anyway, other than the itchies, I am feeling ok today, looking forward to the weather cooling off a bit here, as 90 degree weather in early April is a bit much, not ready to put the AC into action and poor Roxie girl was feeling the heat a bit yesterday, though the temps in the house were only at about 78, I took her in the shower and washed her down to cool her off, it helped and then in the evening when it cooled off, I made some nice grilled chicken on the bbq, tonight I am planning on grilling some salmon that I seasoned last night.

Well that is about it from me.

Wishing you all a good day, peace and strength to get through whatever it is you are facing!

Hugs, Laureen
