First I want to thank Karen again for taking care of this thread for me while I was fresh out of surgery. I really appreciated it!
I'm very limited as to what I can do for the next 4-5 days so I'm actually trying to do some exercises while laying in bed. I can do leg lifts and I'm sort of "rowing" my arms...I'm just trying to stay limber so I don't "stiffen" up spending so much time laying down. I'm not 100% stuck in bed, I'm on my way now to start something for lunch but will be right back here once lunch is done.
So I'm trying to make the best of my current challenge.
Anyone else doing anything to keep the blood flowing and burning cals??

Be careful with that toe. I once messed my toe up big time...took 2 years to fully heal! 3 miles with a bruised toe and in sandals instead of sneakers is most impressive!!!!
Welcome back Ruth!! You were missed.
I all ready took a 2 mile walk at 12:30. The hospital just kicked off a walking program with the employees, I walked with our President. I picked on him cuz he walked in his dress shoes and not his tennis shoes.
Today after work I will be doing spin class. It's rainy and yucky here in Michigan today. Later on I will work with weights as I'm watching TV.

WOOOHOOOO! A big wow for me. Went FOUR miles at the gym today. I knew I would get close in my hour working the two programs so I concentrated on picking up the pace so to speak and I clocked just over 4 miles. And it wasn't too hard. Worked up a good sweat and that always feels good. We got home Monday afternoon, worked yesterday and had company after work, so today was my first day back at the gym. I wasn't "available" for work today. Will probably work the next two days. I enjoy it as long as I can plan at least one day off during the week.
