What's up? Wed and I am still alive and doing well!

Morning everyone!

Got up at 3:30 don't know why.  I have another busy day today.  Have to do my volunteer work at our Church food pantry and deliver my avon books.  I am so behind in delivering them that I have three campaign's to deliver.  Just too much stuff going on and never being home has left my stuff behind.

There is a lot of news here not good news.  I won't share that with all of you.  I hate to always come here with depressing news.  It is a place where we can all share good things in our lives and be a happy place.

My son is still looking for a job, the last temp job wasn't that great.  They only had little work and couldn't keep him busy enough.  He applied at another temp place yesterday.  We'll see what happens.  I just wish he could find something.  Went to college and can't find anything in his field.  What a shame.  Really, a bad economy.

Have neglected all my friends and thought about catching up this morning since I am up and drinking coffee. Don't have to be at Church until 10.

I hope all of you have a great day!

Peace
Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Sorry Mary, but I feel a need to correct you.  We share good news and bad news here.  We rejoice when it is good news.  We are a shoulder for you to cry on, a person for you to lean on in the bad times.  Please don't forget that.  We are here for you.

It was weird coming to work on Tuesday for the first time this week.  Two more days 'til the weekend!  And that will mean 3 more ballgames.

Still coming down from the high of a wonderful opening day.  And what was even better than that, I got to spend 4 days with Mary (with just a short 6 hour stint at the part time job Saturday morning).

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Morning all,
Here I am day 3 of missing work and there is no way I can go in feeling as lousy and sounding just as bad.  I just feel guilty and worried that my stuff is not getting done and that co-workers may not be too thrilled with my absence, That on top of no pay for these days...Hubby tells me not to worry that we'll be OK but I still worry. I'm up early from the aches and pains and congestion...Called the doc yesterday so they say this is par for the course. I just usually don't get sick like this. Blah!

Weather is not so great for spring but we had 60 degree weather in Feb so we can't complain.

I'll spend another day in bed with the pups and get up now and then to keep my lungs moving and visit with Tom while he plugs away on yet another paper. He figures he will be finished summer 2011. Same year as Beth.

Life is good, take care all...

Edited to add, at least this is giving me some time to reconnect with some of you from "the past." and maybe get to know some of the newer people.

Oh, yeah, my surgeon apparently flew the coop...didn't tell anyone...just left town. Hmmmm....he was a good guy, thought quite a bit of himself but still did a great job for me...lucky I haven't needed him...anyone else have that happen?

Good mornin' ya'll.

It's Wednesday!  The housekeeper comes this week.  My DH is going with me this morning to the doctor.  It is just to have blood work done.  We need to go to the commissary at Lejeune and I don't want to drive back home to pick him up! It's only 10 miles, but still. I love Nestle's fat free hot chocolate (20 cal per cup), and Lejeune is the only local place I can find it in the can. I drink a couple of mugs of it a day, so it's too expensive to buy in those single serve packets.

Gonna be another high 80 degree day.  But our cars are still covered in yellow tree pollen!  No relief from that til we get a little rain on Thursday.  I guess we have to take the good with the bad.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Hi Debbie,

Thanks for sharing about your husband too.  I know it is tough out there.  I think people get desperate and almost take anything just to have a job.

As far as me posting depressing things.   I guess it is hard for me.  Going to try and be more open.

Thanks again

Peace

Hi Mary and my OFF family:

Please don't feel bad about sharing depressing news ... this is the only place I have sometimes to unload my depression (other than my shrink). If I didn't have you guys, I would have jumped off the bridge long ago with all the bad things that have gone on in my life the past two years. You have kept me sane. Mary, if you need to vent or unload, do so. We are here in good and bad times.

It's gray and gloomy again ... no wonder my body feels like crap again. I have already applied for two jobs online, one in Texas and one in North Carolina (Jacksonville). Who knows who will respond? I'm still holding out hope for disability.

We had some big storms yesterday and I was driving in them ... boy, I got soaked getting out of the car at my shrink's office. I gave her a piece of my birthday cake ... she loved it (it is a really good cake).

Oh, and here is my exciting news ... I'm going to be a great aunt again. My nephew's wife, Jill, is 13 weeks pregnant and due on 10-10-10 ... cool date, huh? And this is the nephew who didn't want kids (they live in the Denver area) ... yeah, right, until she wanted kids. She is such a nice young woman ... very smart and driven; she keeps him on the right path. He is due to be laid off from his job at Sun Microsystems (he's an accountant, so is she) so they may be moving back to Dallas, where they met ... she wants to be closer to her family and friends.

I'm going to lunch today with my former coworker, Kim ... I'll have to bring her a piece of birthday cake too ... got to get rid of it!

Well, that's about all for me today. If it's not raining in Chicago, I'll get to watch the White Sox play tonight. There's a bunch of games on, so I'll be in hog heaven.

Have a good day.

Hi Eileen,

Thanks for the help.  It is sometimes hard to write things out, especially when they are hard to accept what is going on and how it affects you and your family.  You are right, there are many caring people here

Thanks, friend
