It was okay!  I love JD too, but Helena Bonham Carter steals the show. Gary can'****ch 3-D, so I imagine the special effects would be really cool that way. I never read the book growing up, so I was a bit lost, but we both enjoyed it.

Make up and costumes were awesome!

Hi Jacki and my OFF family:

I did absolutely nothing yesterday ... fought off a headache and felt miserable most of the day. Today is sunny and supposed to get up to 50, so a little warmer than it has been ... supposed to get up to the 70s by the end of the week. Really springlike. I need to get back to the pool today and get some more work done on the book since I did nothing on it yesterday. I had to download OpenOffice since the guy I'm working with is having problems opening up the files I send him using my Word program ... I guess it's too new for him. Don't know why. So now I have to resend the files in OpenOffice.

Just talked to the realtor ... we are going to drop the price of the condo and get a new offer to the lender to see if I qualify for any of the new programs out there for short sales. I've got to unload this place. I know I could live more cheaply in an apartment, plus I'd get aid since I'm unemployed.

Anyway, not much going on here. Kinda of sleepy yet ... don't know if it's my allergy meds or the allergies themselves, but I just don't feel much like doing anything. I will go out anyway and get myself to the pool ... can't sit on my butt all day.

Have a good day.

hello all! i have missed my OFF family! we got disconnected somehow on friday- i think michael changed or tried to change the password--ouch! and of course i couldn't remember the username! so-back on today-

my job interview went very well- i would say that i got the position, however, i have NO CLUE who else may have interviewed!!!!! they need me to take a computer test but the program wasn't working so! that will delay-and they weren't making decision for a few weeks- so i have time to live!!! gosh--the pay wouldn't be excessive however it really felt like family..like somewhere i could work and grow old......so i'm praying!!!!  i'm actually thinking of doing teh thank you note thing- have never done before- does it help? should it be typed? or completely informal?need to do it today tho!!!so as not to waste time!

i got easter boxes out to the grands on saturday and emptied 5-6 boxes of books- did some laundry but not much else all weekend- well- no! not so--i ate all weekend--just junk...ouch!

has anyone tried one of teh colon cleanses available -on tv or at the drug store??? i'm thinking it couldn't hurt!!!

well- need to get dressed - in two days we head to wisconsin for the holiday and i really need to clean more before then!

hugs and prayers.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

The thank you note does work ... it is important to do it after an interview.

As for the colon cleanse, I've heard that's pretty worthless ... your colon and other organs in your body clean themselves out. I generally have a "colon cleanse" when I have an IBS flare-up ... not a lot of fun. If you've ever had to have a colonoscopy and do the prep, that's a little what it's like. Sitting on the porcelain throne for hours at a time and feeling drained ... no, you don't want to pay money for that! I have it without paying money, just my body reacting to stress or whatever.

Margo, I would sure do the thank you note and I would make it hand written I think. Couldn't hurt could it? (Unless your handwriting is like mine. . . In that case I'd type it!!)

I read up on the colon cleanses and don't think I'll ever do one. . . Might check out the articles on line first.

I'm feeling really lazy this am. Biggest thing I've done is get dressed and eat breakfast. Oh, and I went to the basement freezer to get something for supper, WooHoo! I feel sort of like I'm starting an attack of my fibromyalgia. Don't need that!

My DH has to make a trip tomorrow of 21/2 hrs. and "wishes" I'd go with him. Dang, I hate that drive, and if it starts warming up it will be a waste of perfectly fine weather for being outside. Well if it's THAT important to him I will, but he is darned lucky I love him!
Still bummed about having to delay surg. till June or more, but if the money for upfront fees isn't there, it isn't. I'm trying to have a good attitude, but a fibro flare really makes that harder. Maybe I can just whine more quietly? lol.

You all have a fantastic Monday, and I'll be a lot more upbeat tomorrow.

Sue, An occassional whine never hurt anyone. Most of us have them once in a while right on this forum.  Summer will be here before you know it and you'll just be that much more prepared. I had to wait over a year trying (and failing) to get insurance coverage. I was so appreciative when it did finally happen.

I understand about fibro flares ... had one last week, a bad headache yesterday ... so, yeah, I know what it's like. Hang in there.

Hi Jacki and fellow friends,

Jacki good to see you.

We have had crummy weather here too.  Rain, rain and more rain.  The dogs are always muddy and it brings a lot to keep them clean.  I am sick of snow and rain. Where the heck is spring?

I didn't do much yesterday.  Watched two movies.  The painted veil and the Kite runner.  Both movies were pretty good.

Today?  I am going to straighten up the house, do laundry and go to art class later this evening.

I look forward to art but I don't know why it takes me motivation to get there.  Once I am there, I am ok.

Sounds like everyone has been busy too.  I guess it is better than sitting and doing nothing.

Well.... My sister who has problems, went to the ER yesterday and fel in the hall.  She went home feeling fine but can't move today.  Back to the ER today.  It is just one thing after another with her.  I really don't know how she manages.

Everyone have a great day.  Even if it is dreary and raining!

Peace
Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.
