I'm up before the sun.  Very unusual for me.  Wide awake at 5 AM. What's up with this?

I'm counting the ays till retirement.  I though it would get easier as it got closer.

NOT!!

Headed back for more coffee.  Post away, and I'll catch up later.

Everyone have a great day.

Happy Birthday, SusanDoesHair!!!!!!

Greetings Candy and those to wake up on this Lazy Sunday...

Well I have been up early also.  Went to bed late, I just don't get it either.  I use to sleep at least to 8 and now I am up at 5am also.  Like you, I don't get it.

Today, I am going to do nothing but catch up on laundry and rest for the day.  The week is going to be busy for me.  Every day something planned.  I may as  well take advantage of my only day free.

My daughter is about 30 lbs overweight and I went with her shopping for food.   All Healthy and to follow the atkins diet.  I lost a lot of weight on atkins.  It is pretty similar to what we eat.  Concentrating on the protein.  I hope she does well.  Like me, she struggles with her weight.

I am noticing my chiahuaha  is gaining a lot of weight too.  He looks like a bloated tick.  I think he has to go on a diet too.  When they get heavy they are prone to leg breaks.

It seems the other dogs, though big have gained weight over the winter.  My rottie is about 120 lbs.  They need to do spring and summer ball chaising.

Why does everyone in my house have some kind of weight problem?  lol

Well I am off to drink more coffee and start resting for the day.

Hope everyone has a quiet Sunday

Peace

Mary

I doubt that I'll ever rise early enough to start the thread.  I like my sleep too well.  Although I'm a morning person, I usually get up about 6 AM.  I just have more energy in the mornings........well before surgery anyway.  Right now, mornings are the worst.

The weather is supposed to be nice today, so I'm going to take advantage and wash some bedding and hang it out on the line.  I LOVE the smell of sheets hung outdoors.  I always hang clothes outside when the weather warms up and keep doing so until the frost keeps me away in the fall.  I don't know why, but this is one of the few household chores I enjoy doing.

We made a trip to Walmart yesterday afternoon.  Again, it wore me out.  I so want my energy back.  I know, I keep whining about it.  I need to remember that I used to tell my kids that whining would get them no where. LOL

Have a nice Sunday.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Morning Sistah Candy and those to follow.

I don't mind getting up early anymore. I can remember setting the clock, hitting the snooze button a couple of time and then having to rush to get ready for work. Now, I can sit and have a couple of cups of coffee, check in with my friends here and there, and my day is so less stressful. If I had a 7:00 a.m. start time at work I'd be in big doo-doo though....lol!

We're meeting the kids and another couple at an Asian Fusion restaurant for dinner, and we might go to a movie this afternoon. Popcorn with butter. Yep, it's my birthday splurge. Don't know what else is in store for the day, but relaxing is top on the list.
Gary bought me a new flat screen TV for my office. Very nice! Now I can watch anything I want while hes' watching "The History of Dirt" on the History Channel.

That's it in a nutshell. Hope you all have a marvelous day today. I know I will!

Happy Birthday Susan! Sounds like you have a wonderful "Special Susan Day" planned. Enjoy. PS I don't know that the "history of dirt" would hold my attention but just about anything else on the History Channel or Discovery will!

Thanks, Karen!
I don't even know if the history of dirt has been on the history channel, but I can guarantee if it's been there, Gary's watched it. Once, he sat for an entire, ENTIRE weekend watching the history of England. Yep, from the very first English moment, right through today. Made me very happy to have work to go to that Saturday!

I can watch most things once, but Mike will get something that he likes and watch it over and over and over and over. . .  ..

I can relate- my husband has this book (TWO copies of the same book, no less) about the history of water in California that he has read several times and won't let me get rid of it. I just don't have the same kind of brain I guess.

Hi Julia, It's so nice to see you. Are you on break this week? We are. Woohoo, jury duty doesn't want me so we're heading to the west side about Wednesday. visiting with both kids and perhaps a day at our friend's place on the coast. Clam tide this week. It's always busy and fun to watch even tho we neither one can do any digging anymore. That is some hard work!
