Rolling, Rolling, Rolling down the river. What are you eating?

Morning one and all. I trust you're having a good morning so far. I'm working today even though it's my day off. Still filling in for the owner. I don't really like working when I'm supposed to be playing, but I do like the extra $$$.

Today's recipe is more of a "tip". It's one of my favorite snacks on the go.

Susan's Ridiculously Easy  Cinnamon Apples

1 firm, crisp apple, peeled, cored and sliced
1 packet sugar substitute (maybe not even a full packet, depends on your taste)
Cinnamon

Put the slices of apple into a covered container, sprinkle the sweetener, then as much cinnamon as you like over the apples. Cover and shake like crazy to coat all the apples. There you go!

Here's my menu for the day.

latte

bkfst burrito

protein coffee

orange w/ string cheese

shrimp creole

lamb shanks w/ carrots, onions, potatoes and celery. All in the crock pot. Yummmmmm

Brown Sugar Twin is tasty on apples too. Love my apples every day.

I made a meat loaf out of ground turkey. Tom ate tons and said it was wonderful. Then ... I told him it was just the ground turkey, no beef. He then decided it wasn't so great. Too bad, I REALLY enjoyed it.

LOL.  When it comes to healthy recipes and husbands, they need to be on a "need to know" basis only.  Heaven forbid you should sneak in anything remotely healthy into their old favorites.

Hi Susan and Annette, hope everyone else logs their food today.  I get ideas!

So far I am trying to plan my day.  I have been up since 5 and still haven't had anything but :

COFFEE

B- Protein drink
S- ?
L-  Cottage cheese with some kind of no sugar fruit
S- ?
D- Maybe chilli
S- atkins food bar

That is it for the day!

Good morning Captian!...and fellow rowers!!
I had my fasting blood drawn this AM so I'm getting back into the groove. Not taking my vitamins for 3 days plays with my head!!

B: half of a biscut and gravy and 2 sausage links (okay I was hungry!!)
S: orange
L: meat loaf
S: grapefruit
S: half of banana before spin class, half of banana after spin class
D: salad with ham, cheese or maybe half of my beef/bean burrito left over from last night.
S: WW toffeee ice cream bar or pickles

Hi Susan and OH buddies:

My cinnamon apple recipe uses no sweetner, and I nuke the apple for
1-1/2 to 2 minutes.  Great with yogurt or oatmeal.

Today's menu:
B - Oatmeal, wheat germ and protein powder
S - String cheese
L - Vegetarian chili
S - Protein bar
D - Pho (my cousin made a fresh batch)
S - SF hot chocolate

I make home made applesauce every week...about 10 lbs of apples!  Sometimes, though, I like the crunch of a nice  fresh apple. No matter what, I LOVE cinnamon!

We're going out for dinner Sunday for my BD, hoping the restaurant has Pho!

Hello, Susan!

Today Ive caught up on all the newspapers from while we were gone, I always take them then to Mother...she loves to read and she doest get the ones I get so I have now bagged them to take along this afternoon.  Ive made eye appointments for JB and I for when we get back.  Im headed out to buy wine(gift for my cousins) and other errands...we lwave in the morning again.

This is my day:

B   hot chocolate protein drink

S   whole almonds

L   homemade beef & vegetable & barley soup

S   banana

D   will be with Mom..dont know what they are servng at the "home" but it is generally very plain and healthy.

working on my 3 litres of water..taken all of my supplements
