Good Friday Morning...What's New?
Candy - I envy you - it will be a while for me.
Busy busy day at work. I'm looking forward to the weekend!
Michael is doing so well with his weight loss - he's down already. I know he feels better and can't wait until we are both more physically fit. We are doing some basic exercises together and I ride the exercycle 3-5 times a week.
Going to a knitting session wtih friends on Sunday at our art museum coffee shop! Fun. We also have our WLS support coffee on Saturday morning. Not too many other plans at this point, which is fine with me.
We are experiencing a cold snap in Minnesota now, and after a few days of warmth and sunshine it's hard to take!
Have a great weekend.

Morning Candy, OFFr's!
I am sooo thrilled for you Candy, what an exciting thing to look forward to, especially now that you are healthier and able to travel about and do things that you probably once thought were just pipe dreams. . . I am also a tinsy bit jealous, as I feel like I won't ever be able to retire, as losing my old job has changed my ability to save for retirement, less money coming in, yaddy, yaddy, yah, but hey life changes in a milisecond, so who knows what the next 12 years hold for this old gal. . . lol but I am really, really happy for you, as I know you've had enough of where you've been.
Well here I am, counting down until 3:30 when I leave for the day and head to the airport, looking forward to getting away and hope the weather in Florida will be nice, seeing as I am leaving behind beautiful springlike weather, not to mention that everything is starting to bloom and look so beautiful. . . I like all the seasons, however, winter sometimes gets on my nerves, by end of January, so I think Spring is probably one of the favorites. . .
I am also happy that my "skinny" jeans are fitting me, which means that I am holding my own weight wise, still hoping to lose the last 15/16 lbs. to my personal goal, but happy that at 2-1/2 years post WLS I am maintaining, which is something I've never been able to do and participating here definitely helps keep me accountable and not forget that I must do certain things in order to keep on track. . . so Susan and the rest of you, thanks for all you do to remind me regularly that the tool works if you work it. . .
Ok, prayers and good thoughts going out for all, special ones for those facing life challenges of a serious nature and I will next check in from Florida. . .
Have a wonderful day!
Laureen

Morning all!
In the office by myself this morning and so far the phones have been quiet. Sure hopes it stays that way. Not really motivated to start working but nobody else is gonna do it LOL
Candy...congratulations on taking the big step!! I am soooo jealous ;-) I had big plans to retire in 2 years..sticking around for a couple hundred bucks more a month just didn't justify putting up with the stress here at work. Unfortunately, I didn't plan on Wall Street and my equity in the house tanking so badly! So guess I'll be sticking it out for another 6 years...how depressing!
Nothing much on tap for me this weeekend; have a support group lunch on Saturday, maybe a scooter ride and seeing the grandkids for a bit..but otherwise, I'll just kick back and enjoy the beautiful 75deg weather ^_^ The evenings are the hardest...I'm not a basketball fan and the games are being shown on the station all my favorite shows should be on. I was in bed last nite actually early...was so bored and found myself thinking of snacks...decided a good nite's sleep would be much better for me LOL Hopefully, NetFlix movies arrive today so I'll have something interesting to watch!
That's it for me from sunny California. I'm sadden to hear some of you are struggling with 'issues' and I'm sending prayers that peace and comfort come your way. As always, those of you suffering from the flooding, rain/snow and down right cold weather...I hope Spring finds you very very soon. To all, I wish you a wonderful weekend and time to be good to yourselves.
