Well, I actually have something interesting happening in my life. For a change.
I signed up for my retirement today. By the end of April I'll be done working. My actual retirement is the end of May.
I was very nervous, because this is such a huge step, but I'm settling down a little. Looking forward to the rest of my life. And I know it'll be a better one, because I can do so many more things that I wasn't able to do over 100 lbs ago.
Like zip-lining....
Now if only my brain would settle down so I could fall asleep.
Everyone post on. I'll check back later in the morning.

Congrats on the retirement Candy. I wonder if/when I will ever be really able to do it. If I can last until I am 66 I will be very happy. That is the last of work for me.
I am still very busy at work. But this project might be over by the time I come to work Sunday.
Hope to be back to normal(?) by then.

CONGRATULATIONS! I think this is so exciting for you!
I asked for early retirement from my previous company and have not regretted it one bit. Yes I miss the big paycheck but love my freedom and not having the daily stress.

Congratulations Candy on your upcoming retirement. You will find as I have that you will be busier than ever. Enjoy it to the fullest.
I retired from a 36 yr career back in 2001. Since 2003 I have had a part time job at a local bank that I absolutely love -- it's only 9 hours a week, but it gets me out of the house and among people, and the little extra money helps too. I've enjoyed traveling and volunteering since retirement.
Update on my foot -- PT says it's doing good but they are asking for four more weeks of therapy and I will need it as there is a long way to go. Still not driving but hope to soon.

I did a boo boo. Getting ready for bed I noticed my bracelet was missing. It had been a hectic day of running all over, doing housework, but still I tore the house apart. Tom searched the car - no luck. Oh so sad. Feeling bad I took off my earrings, put them in the jewelery box and yippee - there was the bracelet.

Work, work, work today and tomorrow. These next two days I'll be glad I cooked so much the beginning of the week. It's supposed to be beautiful outside, but I'll just get to see it through the windows. Tomorrow and Sunday we're supposed to get storms, so it goes in Spring.

Yup, I've been missing her and sent her a PM a few days back, still nothing. . . hope she is ok, is it Carla that has her number? Maybe we should just check and make sure she is just busy giving hearing tests to those newborns in Hawaii, what a place to call home. . .

Good morning Candy and everyone...Happy Friday! Woot...I live for Fridays at 4:30pm! LOL
Candy, zip lining is so much fun, I did it when we went on our cruise. I screamed every single time I left the stand....9 zip lines I did. I think my hubby had more fun laughing at me then when he took off!!
Nothing exciting planned this weekend except the yucky forcast for this weekend. Bummer. We had a wonderful sunny week in Michigan so I was outside excercising and pushing myself.
I even had my granddaughter do a 5.3 bike ride with me this week.

well-it's friday- whoopy do--we test all afternoon and i am praying we actually get ppl there- weds we had a whoppin 8 ppl all day- it is time for this operation to close but our big kahuna won't let it close.....she just doesn't GET it.....
michael's unrest is quite upsetting to me...i am not sure what is going to be the next step--he wants to move again and i am just not up to it.....between the physical actuons involved in moving and the establishing roots part--and the fact that any problems he/we have will follow-- i know he is going nuts home all day- won't try to get a life=keeps searching hawaiiam real estate- how does he think we can BUY anything--
